For you deer hunters out there...

Well you better make sure it's varmint season where you live, if not it's called poaching.

You're trying so hard to sound superior Eros, but you're just coming off as a serious snob with your head up.....

aahmom, one of the HIGHLIGHTS of my DISing occurs when you whisper sweet nothings into my ear;) ;) ;) ;) ......

Have a Happy Thanksgiving

Ahh, there must be more deer (or fewer hunters) in Michigan. I don't think there was such a thing as a doe license. Of course that was about 20-25 years ago...

I'll bet that a "real man" feels "really manly" for shooting a doe:( :( :( :( ...........

I'd be willing to bet he feels more manly than a man who spends his life trying to piss people off.

Hey, I'll bet that a "crack shot" could get this doe between the eyes :( :( :( ........

How about this Eros, this is so common in Michigan I thought you might like to see what happens to thousands of people every year in Michigan.

If there were a person in the passenger's seat, you can damn well bet that person would be dead. But in your world I guess that would be better, right?

As I said above, "save a Chevy".........kill a deer

Here's a hunter's winter dream:rolleyes:

I feel like I'm debating with a child, can't come up with an answer, hunt down a picture. A picture really is worth a thousand words, isn't it?

BTW, that wasn't a Chevy, real men know cars too.

Hey Eros, seriously, I can understand not wanting to shoot a deer yourself. I know I have no urge to do it.

And I'm sure some hunters fit the "I feel like a man when I shoot a defenseless animal" mold. But certainly not all do.

Why so worked up? It can't be the principle, because since you eat meat, you support the killing of animals.

Are you making a value judgement about all hunters based on your experience with one or a some in the past?

Eros just likes to feel superior. He's a doctor don't ya know? wink, wink, nudge, nidge

PRIVATE COLORADO RIFLE HUNTS ( Hey, these folks spend 3K for "real" sport)

Colorado currently has 4 rifle seasons with the first season limited to a draw. Bull tags can be purchased over the counter for the remaining three seasons. Click HERE for season dates, license fees and Rifle Hunt rates.

Our guided rifle hunts are 5 days in length, based on 2 hunters per guide, although 1 on 1 hunts can be arranged. All of our hunts take place from our lodge, which is located in the heart of our permitted area. Although we hunt mostly national forest lands, the nature of the terrain effectively limits other hunters to a minimum. As attested by past clients, it is unusual to encounter another hunter in the woods.

The San Juans are both rugged and spectacular. Horses are often used to access some of the 100,000 + acres in our permit, but most of the actual hunting is on foot. Unlike private ranch hunts where you may be dropped off along a road and told to look for game, our hunts are a true "fair chase" challenge, testing the skill of the guide as well as the hunter himself. We always tailor the physical side of the hunt to the capability of the hunter; however, physically preparing for your hunt by regular exercise will increase your chance for success.

Unit 71 has a large elk herd population with an increasing number of mature bulls. Most of the bulls harvested are 5- and 6-pointers with a few good mature bulls. Although we have some 300+ bulls, your odds of taking a bull this size are limited. I have always felt that any 5- or 6-point is worthy of anyone's taking.

Hunter success on the average runs about 50 per cent. In 2001, it was much higher; kill percentages on any given season can be skewed by weather, and the physical fitness of the clients. A healthy herd population combined with being in the right place with a little luck can make anyone a successful elk hunter.

I ALWAYS feel humbled by illness and suffering.

However, it is HARD to feel inferior to some yahoos who can't wait for hunting season to start each FALL:rolleyes:

And you think this is what all hunters do? Most of the hunters I know use bows and sit in trees in the cold for hours.

Sweetie, if they used high powered rifles, they could kill many more deer to feed their starving families:rolleyes:   ........

When does hunting season start Eros? Quick look it up, better yet, look up a picture that will say a thousand words.
