Looking for a recommendation on a good DIY product for legs. I have tried Salley Henson cold wax and it sort of works. My legs now look like a patchwork quilt. :p

Thanks!
Peggy

I use this great stuff that has a wonderful applicator that keeps the wax warm with hot water. I can't remember what it's called. I'll look and pm you later this afternoon or this evening. It really works, but not on my knees.

I've tried Nads, I've tried that new kind in a green bottle (can't remember the name of it). Nads would work, but I can't handle that kind of self-inflicted pain. The other didn't work at all. I use a good ole razor instead.:teeth:

I've used Nads too. I liked it, but it's expensive. There's cheaper stuff on the market that works as good. Without getting too personal, I have very little hair on my legs, and what I have it fine, so that's why these products work so well for me. I don't know how they work for someone with more hair. I haven't touched a razor to my legs in years. Even my knees, I pluck them. Told you, very little hair.

Ahhh! How can you wax yourselves? I can't self-inflict the pain. I can't even pluck my own eyebrows -- once every couple months to the waxer I go! I got waxed once for my wedding, and it wasn't bad -- but I wasn't doing it myself!

Thanks for the replies! If anyone else has a product they like, please add your reply as well.

I'm not bothered by the self-inflicted pain aspect. It just stings for a minute. A small price to pay to avoid the razor for a few weeks. Otherwise, I have to shave daily to keep my legs clean. What a pain.

I've tried Nad's, but didn't think it really worked that well on me... Now I use (if I have the time to spare) this Nair product called Sugaring Wax, or something like that. It comes in a roll-on, so you just pop it in the microwave for about 10 secs and you're set! Just roll on and rip off!

I used to use a waxing system that you applied after heating. That was a couple of years ago before I went and started to use an epilator system. It was really messy but from what I've seen now the newer ones oare easier to use. My system can be used on my underarms, face and legs so I like it.

I couldn't get Nad's to work, and burnt myself so bad with a Nair product that after 2 years, I still have a small scar on my leg:eek:
I just shave (every other day or so)

Veet is the other one I've tried. The mouse and the wax didn't work too well for me. I hope you find something that works for you.:)

Do any of you have a SO that helps so it is not self-inflicted pain?

Then I'll take a fake one.

Many years ago, I purchased an Epilady Shaver & used it for about one year & my leg hairs never grew back. My legs are as soft as can be since there is never any stuble! I don't know if those are still available but if they are, I would highly recommend one.

I have a feeling this thread isnt about waxing floors
