For trips scheduled Fall 2005, what are you doing now?

So now that you are going on vacation what to buy to take with us. I thought I would start a box of things we need so I can catch the sales.

But thought I would ask the vets!

I haven't started in earnest yet for this trip so I'm trying to remember what I bought for the last trip. Hold on! I'll go check my check my list.................

We stay in poolhomes so I bought laundry tabs and dishwasher gel packs when they went on sale. Pool floats (Disney themed) for the kids.

PB crackers, granola bars, juice boxes, etc. for in-park snacking.
little ziplocs to keep in purse as doggie bags
Fresh batteries and film (or an extra flashcard) for me. Disposable cameras for the kids to use.
Brita Bottles. I will never go to WDW w/o these! It saved us so much in drinks last trip. This is my most recommended item!
Disney Souvenirs/Toys/towels, etc. I buy these ahead on sale/clearance and set them aside. Saves on in-park purchases. Any type of glow sticks or light up toys are fun for the kids in the parks after dark.
An autograph book and a fat pen (easier for characters to hold).
Backpacks and/or Fanny packs for you and the kids.
Sunglasses and sunscreen.
rain ponchos, stroller covers, Hats
collapsible cooler to take snacks in park and keep "doggie bags" in.
moleskin and other foot products like powder to keep the feet in good shape,

Somewhere on DIS or Deb's site there is an "Ulitimate WDW Vacation Packing List" I'll look for it. If I find it I'll post.

Hope this helps!

Not much! We're still trying to narrow down dates so I can make a room-only ressie, then determine if we want to go with the package and add the dining option or not. I'm also trying to determine what our budget will be and where we're going to stay. Right now, I'm hoping to be able to save enough to stay at CBR, but planning for and making our ressie for Pop Century. Also trying to decide where we might want to eat for sit-down meals to know how much to budget. We don't put any part of a vacation on a credit card, so I need to know how much to save. DH will figure out the airline, and we may have to change our dates a little based on that, we're using his ff miles.

Other than that, just counting the days!

I plan on changing car insurance (save me $100/month for at least six months)
Have you checked Geico? I just switched last week and they saved me $716/yr. over what I had (AIG) and my rates with AIG weren't even that high.
