Hi guys... I thought I would share this with you all.

When I first started my planning, the room block ordeal gave me the biggest headache!!! I was confused, and concerned that I was blocking too many, blocking too little, and what if I didnt meet my guarantee, etc... What helped was blocking by the night. I think its great that Disney has you do it this way! Anyways... I am having a custom wedding, inviting 145... counting on and budgeting for 100, give or take a few. I guaranteed Disney 50 nights and blocked out 60 (between the All-Star Sports and the Carribean Beach). So, as most of you know my wedding is March 26 (just under 5 months away!). I received my room block sheet from my EM this past weekend and I already have 47 nights blocked!! The crazy thing is, that isnt even close to half of my guests (I still need to book ours, and my parents havent even booked theirs yet). That is about 5 families. What I didnt realize is how many nights people would be going for. One family, has 2 rooms for 7 nights each. Another, 3 rooms for 5 nights each. So, needless to say... I worried for days and days for NO reason at all!!

My point to you all is, dont stress over this!!! Its easier then you think it is!!

Just a thought I wanted to share with all of you who help me on a daily basis!! What would I do without you guys!

I found the same thing to be true. Many of our guests came in a few days before we did to explore on their own. My parents and grandparents stayed over a week after we left (we left 2 days after the wedding) to relax and recover. Our little wedding with 30 (including us!) had about 50 nights. Even funnier is we didn't honeymoon there - we went on a cruise. We wanted to be alone and knew there would be folks sticking around so we actually had one of the shortest stays!

We are also not staying long. We are staying Thurs - Sun, and Sun we are leaving Disney. We are going over to Tampa for a night, and then on our cruise for our honeymoon on Monday. There are a lof people sticking around after, and we want to be alone!! =)
