We bought a house last year that the kitchen is huge and has black granite on the countertops, island and full backsplash. It does streak and I just buff it dry. Kind of a pain but I do love it.
I use the Stone X stuff from Home Depot as well. I need to seal it because when I put down something down wet it will eventually leave a darker ring where it was.
Funny granite story. My sister just put in granite when she remodeled. She has an island that is 12 feet by 6 foot in the middle of her kitchen (house used to be owned by a caterer). When they brought her granite they told her it had something in it that if she did not like they would cut another slab.
It was a perfect 2 foot heart! It is so sweet. Makes you wonder about the other things that have shown up naturally
