I'm not doing so well with pricing right now. We haven't booked yet, but we're locked into dates when there is no discount. The best I've been able to do so far for what we want is:

AAA PACKAGE QUOTE
2,761.16
2 People
June 21-25, 2011
BWI
Deluxe Dining
3 Day Park Ticket -- With Hopper but no Waterparks
(I can get this down $116 by removing the Park Hopper Option)

The AAA quote saves me about 9% off the Disney site or going through Dreams Unlimited. Today I started looking around a bit more...I could switch my first choice to the BWV and save $28, but it seems silly to worry about $28 when you're spending this much money! Moving to WL would also save some $$$, but we REALLY prefer the Epcot location. We plan to be in the parks 3 days, and we'll go to HS, MK, and Epcot.

So, it looks like AAA is my best option for any kind of a discount. A couple questions for people who have used AAA in the past:

Can you still make your own dining reservations, or do you have to go through the agency?

Do any changes to your booking have to go through the TA? I'm trying to decide how much convenience is worth to me! I like being able to control my reservations, and I think I'm probably going to have to give that up if I go through AAA.

If I book through Disney and get the AAA room rate, can I add on tickets and dining, or would I then have to go through AAA?

Thanks for your help!

Yes you can make your own dining reservations. Anybody can make dining reservations you don't have to be staying in wdw resort to eat at their restaraunts. I did not link any or my dining res to my resort res everything came out fine. They pull them up by your phone #. Yes you have to go through you AAA to make changes. So far has not been a problem. I hate bothering people with things I could do myself, but that is their job and they do make a commission. No you cannot book dining and tickets through disney and get AAA discount. My only fear is discounts will come out and I wont be able to get a hold of my TA. I don't know if I will be able to keep myself from booking another trip on my own.
