For those who've stayed at DL resort hotels....

fairly recently, or if you're there now, is the monorail running on a regular basis? Or is it shut down if it gets too hot? I last stayed at the DL hotel in 2018 during August. I was there for four days and only rode it twice. The workers said they close it down when it gets too hot. Seriously, how is it that DL doesn't have air conditioning in the monorail? I don't mean to pout, I would just love to stay at the DL hotel again, but only if the monorail is up and running all day.

The monorail will close if it’s too hot, which can be several months in summer/fall. I doubt it’s been too hot lately but probably starting next month the risk of closing due to heat will be more significant.

Even on hot days it will still run in the morning and evenings when the temp is below 80. Hottest times of year in SoCal are Aug, Sept, into Oct. Certainly gets hot at times in July too. I've been in Nov when it's 85.
