1) Did you end up canceling and rescheduling your park reservations?
2) If not, did you end up losing your park reservations?
3) Were your park reservations tied to an onsite stay during the same time frame?

Just trying to get an idea if the threats of losing park reservations after upgrading are true, and if it makes a difference if your reservations were for an onsite resort stay.

Thanks!

JUST FINISHED doing this. Holy stress. Between waiting on the phone yesterday and today for almost 7 hours, hearing multiple different answers from CM's on what to do about park reservations, I ended up canceling and re-booking. I did not lose them, but the CM staid I need to re-book under my AP. I checked the dates before I upgraded and made sure they were all still in the green, so I wasn't too worried about it.

But as I am a newbie to AP, I booked the first 5 of my park reservations in the AP bucket and then freaked out when it said I couldn't do anymore. There is actually a separate button to click if you are an AP holder WITH a hotel stay. So once I did that, the rest were fine. Now I am not sure if I should go back and redo those or if it matters. I think you can only have 5 at a time, and i am not planning on going between now and our trip so I am thinking it doesn't matter? But I wonder about the early park entry situation... ugh you seriously need a PH.D to plan a Disney trip anymore.

Good luck!

I agree. The park reservation system is pretty complicated with the buckets thing.

Very curious about this as well. I rebooked mine but didn’t delete the old ones (as there’s still someone on it w/o an AP). I’d assume both pull from resort availability but I have no idea. This is a mess of Disney’s making and it’s going to burn people (just like the gold sorcerer thanksgiving fiasco).

1. Rebooked. Didn’t cancel. There’s a third person in the original park reservations which is still tied to a regular ticket.
2. We don’t activate AP or go into park until 10/2. Didn’t want to be told “oops you can’t come in we’re all booked” 🙄
3. Yes. DVC reservation.

Keeping an eye on this. I want to upgrade my ticket the first day we are there in two weeks. But also don't want to lose my reservations. So I may just wait until my last day in the parks to upgrade. I know I will lose out on parking and discounts, but worth not having an issue with park reservations.

I'm confused. If you are making plans for 2 (my husband and I) does this mean I have to go on an Annual Pass website or can you do this through MDE??? I will be upgrading our 7 day park hoppers to Annual Passes. I already have park reservations under those tickets.

I have a mixed bag of reservations. Reservations that I made myself in MDE moved over to my annual pass. But, due to glitch, Disney made some reservations for about half of our trip—those did not port over and now I have duplicates.

I applied existing tickets to my AP renewal a few weeks ago. I have park reservations for November with an onsite stay for all days that were made with the tickets months ago. My park reservations are still there. I didn't have to do anything with them.

Question...if I made park reservations prior to the new "AP with hotel reservation" option, do I need to cancel/rebook those so that I can then book regular AP park reservations? I am currently getting a message that we have no park reservation choices left.

No one really seems to know. I have duplicates for 3 days. One set under the AP with resort stay and one set under “the old system.”
