For those who order group shirts...

Looking into doing this but not sure how to personalize it (will likely use the disneystore.com shirts). My family (dh, me and four kids), my mom, dad and sister are all going together... we don't all have the same last name, as I was thinking of that -- i.e, "Smith's Disney Vacation" but that just won't work... let me know what ideas you might have for an extended family trip group shirt saying. thanks

I'd use your parent's last name ... except for you hubby you are all "Smith's."

Or you could do something similar to what I'm planning to do:

I made T-shirts for our extended families vacation and places our last name on one side of mickey and minnie and my parents on the other. It says Brooks Raymond with family vacation underneath. They came out very cool. I don't know how to post a picture or I'd share them with you.

I have the same dilemma. We are going in December with 4 other families--none of us are related. We would love to do the shirts; but have no idea what to put on them!

I am in the process of looking for shirts for my group as well. Look to the "HELP T-shirts for group of ten" discussion, there are some suggestions in there. One person even provided the link for Zazzle - a website that personalizes Disney shirts. I also provided a link for the "Magical Gatherings" website where you can order shirts.

As for a name. We just registered our group with Disney for a "Magical Gathering" and had to come up with a name. The rep. at Disney said to try and think of a funny name or go with an inside joke name. Since we are going as a family with my parents and my sis and I are married and have dif. last names we are going to be named "Pooch's Crew". Pooch is my Dads nickname. We will be putting "Pooch's Crew" on our shirts and then our family name underneath somehow.

Not sure yet. We are having our family meeting in June and then will decide. Good luck and have fun.

My sister made us sweatshirts for our February trip. They said: "Just goofin' around at WDW!" With the dates and our first names. They were really cool!

Extended Family of 22 going in 10 days and this is what we are doing.
I made shirts for everyone. On the front is a pic of Mickey and "Mickey's Magical" across the top and "Family Gathering" across the bottom with 2004 under that. On the back of the shirts I did them like team jerseys and numbered everyones and had their last name on it. We have 12 Cox's, 4 Mitchell's, 2 Koenig's, and 4 Toney's.
Everyone loves them and the kids are excited about the numbers on them. "It's like my soccer shirt" my little one said.

When we went back in 2001 with 2 other families we got the shirts through the Disney Catalog. Ours said:

The Clydesdale Crew

It was fitting because we all lived on Clydesdale Drive.

Oh well, I guess that doesn't really help anyone, but we liked them.

This year, it is extended family coming with us, what we are doing for matching shirt day is we bought the Disney logo shirts from the Disney Catalog. The boys/men are wearing the navy one and the girls/women are wearing the red shirts. We will not have them customized, but it does have a nice touch to it for matching.
