For those who have ridden Everest....

We rode the ride 7 times Thursday and I think the info has been covered. My DH does not do roller coasters because of motion sickness. He rode this one time and liked it very much, but said it did unsettle his stomach for a short while. I certainly felt the backward plunge to be a great part of the ride and it made me feel dizzy, which doesn't bother me at all. I spent 20 mins at the exit waiting for my DSs who wanted to wait for the front seat (they had to request the single rider line which is entered at the fast pass entrance). At the exit, I did not hear one negative comment from the guests. And I was surprised at the number of older people who rode that thing!

the ride is EXCELLENT!! we rode it thursday twice..the first time they gave my son a fast pass because it was his birthday..and well...him and his sister dont even have aps...sooo that was great....we then rode it again and waited maybe fifteen minutes...the ride is a bit extreme but worth it..the yeti himself is incredible...this is a ride that even if you dont do coasters you gotta ride it just once to experience it !!! :thumbsup2

May as well chime in here. I don't like heights, and I'm not much of a thrill ride person. My wife has had to give up these sorts of rides, so I have to go it alone.

Rode Space, R'nRC, Primeval Whirl once each - never went back. But didn't love 'em or hate 'em. Gave up on dinosaur a while back.

Love ToT, Splash, BTMR.

Rode EE the first time in Row 2, by myself - it was intense. I was a little shell shocked after the ride, I think because I was surprised by the intensity of the backward portion. It seemed to me after a few seconds, that although I knew we were going backward, and I could feel motion, I couldn't really tell which way we were going.

Rode it the second time because I knew what to expect, and where to look. Came off loving it. This is one I'll do early and often.

It was smooth and I loved the view from the incline and from the very top, no problem with the height thing at all

Coaster fanatics will probably disagree, but I have to give the Mountain a 10.

In short, give this one a try - or you'll always wonder.....

The drop was not that bad. I'm afraid of the drop on Splash but this was nowhere near that severe and, yes, the curve may have tempered that. If you can take BTMR, you can take this. We were not in the darkness for long and my only complaint is that the train moved a little too quickly past the Yeti. I kind of liked the guy. :)

Tried viewing some links and couldn't get a clear look. Looks like the cars are sort of a cross between BTM and Dinosaur?? Looks like you might feel more "secure" during the drop than on Spash? I can handle the drop on Splash at WDW, but at Disneyland you sit single file and hold onto the sides with nothing solid in front of you, and I feel too much like I could fall out. How does Everest rate that way? (Leaving 2/3 and REALLY want to get up the nerve to try this!)

Just back from WDW. Rode EE 3 times on Monday (cast member day) We loved it! My DD6 was hoping to go on it but she's not tall enough. First cast member said height was 40", actually is 44". I'm glad she didn't go yet. I think she'll handle it better in a few years. I got some great pictures. Sorry- can't attach them.

What was best about riding was we weren't expecting to be able to ride but when we entered the cast member entrance (my niece works at Disneyland) they asked us if we wanted to attend the "special event". Of course we said YES. He even gave us an extra ticket for the 5th member in our group. :cheer2:
