What is the closest car parking area to the Bike Barn?

It looks on the map as if the Bike Barn is a ways from the main parking lot and the Registration house.

Is there a place to park by the Bike Barn?

If not, how do I get from the parking lot to the Bike Barn? Walk? Bus?

If I pick up the golf cart before my cabin is ready, where can I park it while I head into the parks?

TIA!

1. Closest parking is the Meadows Trading Post. There is a few spots right next to the 900 loop entrance and a few to the right of the store if you're looking at it. It's only 15 minute parking.

2. There is no parking like right next to it, so NO.

3. You can park at the above mentioned spots but it's short term. Possibly the best thing to do as they get busy ocassionally is to park in the overflow lot and take a bus to either the 1500 loop or 900 loop. There is a map at the bus stop that shows you what color bus goes to those loops.

4. There are several places to park the cart. For Magic Kingdom you will see a very large area in the back of the Settlement Trading Post. There's always other carts so you won't miss it. The other parks buses leave from the Outpost now and there is ample parking right next to where the buses pull up that you can leave the cart in. Try and plug the cart in so the batts charge while you're away.

Shouldn't 15 min be enough to get the golf cart?

Thanks for the help!

Usually, yes but if there's a lot of renters and a couple people working I've seen a line form. You didn't mention if someone would be in the car. If so one person should stay with it. I've not seen an employee get a stopwatch out to clock anyone but 15 minutes is the rule.

we waited 1/2 hour to get worms because of the cart renters..... it can take awhile, especially if the renters don't have their paperwork in order.

At the Outpost parking, there are no cart plugs.

There are a few cart plugs at the golf cart parking across from Trails End, there are also a few at the parking right across from Settlement Trading Post.

There are also a few golf cart parking spots right across from the Settlement Bus Depot, don't know if they have plugins or not.

Me and the DW went to rent canoe at the bike barn we got there an hour and a half before closing because canoing the whole thing takes an hour. Well after standing in line for over 30 min. with only 1 person in front of us we get to the counter and they would not rent to us  because we would only have like 55 min to make the 1 hour trip. So my point is allow enough time.

On the other hand....if your parking there for a few minutes in order to shell out $53 bucks per day into Disney's "empty, needy" pockets...I really dont think they'd hastle you at all. There's no Disney meter maids running around....yet.

Give them time. Before long they will want to sell you a golf cart parking pass.:sad2:

Isn't that the truth... and they will put credit card readers on the plugs to charge the carts, and before longe there will be a per bulb charge for all decorations. As long as there are people waiting to get in, they can raise the price. Man that has to be one rich mouse huh?

Has anyone ever wondered how they get all that cash out of WDW every day and into some type of bank, just the physical size of the amount of cash they generate must be huge. And then add in the credit cards... YIKES>

Never thought about all the cash. That is a good question. Maybe they sneak it out on one of those buses that leaves right when your walking up.:rotfl:

By the way ejmbibb just wondering if you were liked your superduty any better yet.

LOL I took it back last week, they had it for 3 days, say they reflashed every module in computer. Still has crappy mileage, and has the same problem with regen. I was there today about something else and service manager says ford reginal manager wants to see my truck. They know they have 1 more try to fix it, or it is a lemon.

SO no I don't like it any better. :lmao:

From what I was told when they start going into regin if you dont want it to you just tap the break pedal and it will stop and do it at a later time.

I just went through a Cummins class on their new emission systems and their DPF, the way theirs works is much better than what I keep hearing on the light duty trucks, I think GM and Ford cheaped out on their systems and now they are struggling with them, the guys on the GM diesel forums arent real happy.

I know a guy in the oil field he has a 07 cummins with the new motor. He said lots of power when its not in the shop. He wishes he still had his 05.

The ones we went through were the ISC and larger. the Dodge used to be an ISB but I am not sure what the new 07 engine is designated as in the Dodge.

That year truck would probably be a 24valve "B"
I have a friend that has one that he sled pulls with... its crazy fast.
I think a "B" in a coach (unless its a small one) is underpowered, we have several in some FL60's that we have and they do okay but I wouldnt want to run it in any bigger of a truck.
