Did you have any problems a few days later? Tuesday was the 3rd time I have had the skin tests. But just now where 2 of the doses were on my arm have whelps - looks like 2 large mosquito bites. Is it just a coincidence or could it be from the allergy tests?

Of course the doctor's office is closed since it is a Saturday night.

I have never had a reaction but I do know that is from the allergy testing.
I have had shots for 3+yrs now. I was retested in Sept-Oct and still no serious reactions. I am at the highest dose of serum for my allergies.
My testing was only one day.

I had that reaction. It's just from the tests. Until you can talk with your doc, try putting some Benedryl cream on the welts. That's what the nurses do when I get my allergy shots and get the welts afterwards. It helps.

Good luck!

Thanks The Mystery Machine and sk8belle! It was a new reaction to me. It's not at all like when I get an allergy shot.

Too bad they can't invent a vaccine for allergies.

If you are finished with the testing, go ahead and take your allergy medication...Claritin, or whatever you normally take. That should work. The cream on the reaction will make it feel better until the medication relieves the reaction.
