For Those Who Have Checked In

Checked in tonight for our Sept 04 Fantasy Cruise. Process was the same as described by others. For our family of 4 it took us about 30 minutes with one system glitch requiring me to refresh and log back in. Picture requirements were the same, and seem to be accepted. We got port arrival time of 1:30-1:45 and boarding group #6.

Group #6 seems higher than expected but 1:30 seems ok for what we planned.

My question, the online checkin button says pending after you upload your pictures. But, can you no longer go into online checkin to modify? I’m afraid to click the button that says pending to try. I have to change my cc on file because my card was compromised after I checked in. I saw a post yesterday from a 8/9/21 cruiser who just got their pictures approved, so the wait could be down to the wire.

I would not be concerned. You would be able to change the card once onboard, if needed.

I went back in and re-uploaded one of my pictures that had problems with no issues.

thanks, I was afraid I’d mess it up. I’ll wait a few more weeks. I haven’t gotten my replacement cc yet. Ugh

I had mine in jpg format and had no issues. Everyone just took photos with their phones and then texted them to me as we were not all in one place either. The app on the phone always like to give me trouble, so I transferred them to my computer and completed check-in from there without any issues.
For your passport photo do you need the signature page or just the page with your photo?

I scanned both pages in one picture. Didn’t want to take a chance. my pictures are still pending. Been over a week. We leave in 21 days

Thanks, did you upload a PDF or a JPEG? Some have said they couldn't upload PDFs.

Do you by chance wear glasses? I'm wondering if I need to remove my glasses for my KTTW card photo. Passport photos require you to take them off. DCLs page just says to remove any glasses that prevent your eyes from being seen.

For my headshot, I did not remove my glasses. Just make sure there is no glare. Picture was accepted. All pictures were in .jpg format.

jpeg. The instructions say no hat, no glasses, no one else in the picture. I uploaded my pictures to both my PC and my iPad because I wasn’t sure which I was going to use. At midnight the computer kept circling and the checkin button wasn’t popping up…..this was the DisneyCruise website. So I picked up my iPad, clicked on the app and did it through that. Plus if you didn’t upload, I would’ve been able to just take a picture to upload. I was done in about 15 minutes. after You get your PAT, you can print the page with your scans. Then when you’re finished the checkin button now says pending. Some folks say the pictures weren’t accepts until a week before they left. hopefully the process will get faster as time goes on.

I spoke with shore side concierge and asked about the pending status. I was told:

"And yes we have may Guests whose Online Check-In is still showing as pending close to the cruise date while the uploaded documents are reviewed. This won't cause any issues. As long as you have the proper proof of citizenship like before, and now have either the proof of vaccination or the pre-test taken care of, everything will be fine at the terminal."

I also asked about luggage tags and was told:

"The Luggage Tags are going out a little bit later so far since our return to sailing. They used to get there about 30 days prior to the cruise. However, I do see that they were sent to the vendor to be shipped back on August 2nd, so hopefully you should receive them this week."

Our group, august 30th, started getting their luggage tags today. I’m not worried about the pending, it’s just that i need to update my cc on file and you can’t do anything while it’s pending,

I had a CC compromised while I was on-board. (Local HS payment servicer got hacked). Anyway, it was super easy to update my CC info with guest services while on board. So, worst case you will have to do it then. But it won't be a big deal.

Ran into a bit of an issue uploading my security photo. It generated this error but still let me submit it.

-Image is not clear or face is not fully visible

I guess I'll re-submit it tomorrow but not too sure why it didn't pass their pre-check. It's totally clear and shows my face. Photo was taken with my iPhone. Maybe it's too close and doesn't show enough of my shoulders? So strange because it's a head shot of (ME) which is all they need/want. 🤪

I had a similar situation with my co-passenger (but not myself). I just submitted it anyway because it was a TOTALLY clear photo. I'm hoping the cast member review clears it.

Same thing happened with my sons photo and I resubmitted because just like yours, clear face no glasses, met guidelines. Went back and checked and it is still not cleared so I am waiting for my son to send me a new one.

I had a photo I took on my phone that was ever so slightly blurry and got that message. I immediately retook the exact same photo on my phone again, uploaded it, and it was accepted.

Do we know how long before Disney approves these photos? Safepassage was less than 24 hours once I uploaded my vaccination card, but my security photo has been pending for a few days now with DCL. Perhaps they are backed up but I assumed they just approved them as they came in. It's also possible that they are completing them by sail date first so those leaving soon will be able to make any necessary changes.
