no more free dining for me! we joined dvc so we will be using our points for our stay at ssr, 8/21-8/26-so had to pay the dining cost, oh well, now we have points every year to keep going and going and going!!! we were originally staying at pop, love pop, but took the plunge and bought dvc

Do you know when Free Dining was announced this year ?? Is it expected to be announced around the same time in '07 ?

I believe I remember reading that the free dining package opened up for booking in April. It's not definite that it will be offered in the U.S. for '07 but it seems there's a good possibility being that it's currently being offered to our neighbors in the UK for Aug./Sept. '07.

We're booked for 8/21/07-9/1/07 at the Polynesian. We currently have AAA discount but would switch to free dining if offered. Whether they have the promo or not, I'll still end up adding dining because it just makes sense with 3 teenage boys.

Yes, that's correct. They released the free dining package in early April because we were on a cruise from 3/31 through 4/9 when it was released. I remember when we got back, I read about it on the DIS Boards that it was released. We booked ours the day after we got back.

We are hoping that they have it next year as well since we are already starting to plan a big family reunion for the same time next year (just got back this morning from 11 days at WDW). Right now if everyone goes who said they are going, we will need about 9-10 rooms (28 people) and who knows how many more might decide to go! Even if they don't have free dining, we will still be going.
