We are going for our first Feb. trip this year and are a bit confused what to pack. Not that we are packing already but are in the process of switching closets from summer to winter. So I thought before I packed away all of our summer stuff I would put it in the suitcase so I wouldn't have to dig it out later. So how cold/warm will it be? :confused3 Will I need shorts, sweatshirts, or a bathingsuit? Thanks :thumbsup2

We were there last February 10-19th and it was cold in the beginning of our trip – we had jeans and double layers of sweatshirts on. By the end of the week it warmed up - we were at Blizzard Beach swimming it was around 80º.

We go every Feb. at Mardi Gras and usually the weather is quite mild. Bring a pair of jeans and shorts and t shirts and sweatshirts.

Have fun. :cool1:

Yes to all of the above. You really can't plan for winter weather at Disney. We've had everything from beautiful 80 degree sunshine to bitter cold days with highs in the low 40s - and that was on the same vacation!

Definitely bring a little bit of everything. It'll be rather comfortable during the day, specially if you are coming from NY, there is a good chance you'll be comfortable wearing jeans and a tshirt and probably even just shorts and a tshirt.

However, it can chill a bit at night, so bring jeans, a long sleave shirt and just in case a light jacket or comfy sweater.

We were the over Valentines a few years ago and were not able to swim and it was pretty chilly but not any colder than I have had at Christmas time before. Very manageable.
We did RUN to get into the hot tub at WL and RUN back in. It was quite cold at night (especially when you are dripping wet :) )

Ditto to everything everyone said. We've had glorious, warm, perfectly sunny 85 degree days and we've had blue lipped, bone chilling cold days where we wouldn't even contemplate any water rides. Prepare for all. We really love going in February!

We were in Orlando last mid-February and we wore jeans and sweatshirts on the plane and packed shorts, tank tops, short sleeve shirts and long sleeve shirts. We also had a washer and dryer in our place - so that helped in packing light.

This year, we're staying onsite and will probably have to do wash mid-week.

I had a feeling I would need a little of everything. Since we will be staying at SSR hopefully we will be able to pack a bit lighter.

The one thing you can be pretty sure of regarding the weather in February...no late afternoon thunder boomers and no hurricanes. February is a great time to visit Disney. However, you may want to stay away from Presidents weekend.

This is correct. We went in Feb 1996 and it was 30 degrees the day we arrived. Being from NEPA where it was below 6 when we left, that was warm, however we still wore sweatshirts/jeans/gloves the first few days. By the end of the week it was 75 during the day, but still cooler in the evening.

Have a great trip, it's a great time to be at WDW!

No PM thunderstorms will be a plus. :cool1: As far as Presidents week DW and I are both teachers so we really do not have a choice. Hopefully tour guide mike will get us through.

We went last year in February - was nice during the day but got quite chilly at night. We typically had to run back to the room to change into something a little more heavy after sunset.

last February we had great weather, swimming each day ... the previous year, we swam one day out of 7 and started with sweatshirts each day in the parks ... crap shoot (not what you wanted to hear, I know)

True. But could be worse.

I had the same concern when we booked for Feb. but then I realized no matter what the weather, it's Disney! No matter what the weather, you will be having a great time. Plus the low crowd levels will be very nice! :cool1:

we've gone every year at this time, and will continue to go every year at this time (2007 we are going to DL, not WDW) - the weather is fine. You might find it a little cool in the morning, but with sunshine it get can quite warm by the afternoon, and then cool down in the evening. Layer is the best thing to do - sweater/sweatshirt. If you are from up north, you might not even need that.

This past year, we had good weather the whole time - the summer that we went, it rained every day, and when it wasn't raining, it was hot & humid.

We find February/March a great time to visit.

Two years ago, we were camping in Tampa (Feb 10th or so) and decided to drive up to WDW for a day. The day started nice, but, it was pouring rain by the time we go there and was clearing by the time we got into the park. It was 50ish in the day and low 40s at night.

Last year I was again in Tampa at the same time and the daytime tempreture floated from 40 to 80 back to 40 and then 80. Saturday night we had a front pass through with 40 kt winds and lightining (McQueen) and thunder. That was the worse night I ever had in a tent, and I have been camping for 30 years.

Florida weather in Feburary is variable. Plan accordingly.
