For those who done points/cash for cruises...

I am still waiting for my points to be transferred into my new DVC account (yay!!) and I have my eye on a cruise. I would have enough points to pay for 3 people but would need to buy my daughter with cash (worth 63 points). Just wondering about how much that would be? I thought I had read somewhere that the points are about $7 each on cruises...is this correct? Any help is appreciated! Thanks

DVC negotiates directly with DCL, so you'll have to call MS to check. They'll check for you even if you're still waiting for points to transfer into the account as long as they can see you are a member. You just don't have points to book the cruise with yet.

After you dial MS, you'd press #2 (which is Disney collection) rather than #1 (which is DVC resorts).

MS will have a chart they look up and can tell you--it differs by room cat and sailing dates.

Each cruise has its own distinct price for the cash price, so call MS to find out the specifics. Just be advised that you will have to pay in full upon booking, along with the $95 transfer fee. Happy sailing!

Well, note that any changes you make to your reservation (including cancellation) will result in another $95 booking fee. As to when your cancellation period runs, I would recommend calling MS.
