I know that most people say to order the burgers at Sci-Fi and you'll be fine, but I'm not crazy about WDW burgers since they changed the buns. I think I would rather try something else.

So, if you have eaten at Sci-Fi and did not like the food, what exactly did you order and what was wrong with it?

I usually like Sci-Fi, but last time we went my burger was much too undercooked for Medium and the onion rings were drenched in grease. They weren't crispy in the slightest.

When did they change the buns? Oh no. Are they bad tasting?

We love the burgers at Cosmic Rays. We were there in Sept 2006. Did they change since then?

I will be happy to hear this post.We are trying Sci Fi this time around in May for dinner. We were going to do 50s Primetime again but we didnt care for the food. And our boys wanna check out Sci Fi....

We actually enjoyed our meal at Sci-fi.
We ate there in Sept. 08.
DH ordered the BBQ ribs with fries said it was good.
I had the Shrimp with pasta and found it to be good.
My DS ordered a Boca Veggie Burger and fries and ate it all.
We had along with us my DS BFF and he also had the Ribs and enjoyed them.
DS and his BFF (both 12 yrs & 13 yrs) loved the place
and said it was their favorite restaurant of our whole trip.
I think you will really enjoy it there--it's a very fun restaurant to eat at.

I don't know when the buns changed, but on my last trip which was Feb. 2008 the buns were wheat. To me they were more like stale white bread - very crumbly. I could have used a fork to eat the last half of my hamburger.

When we ate there in December the burgers did not come on wheat buns, the buns were more like a potato bun. As far as what to order if you don't want a burger I usually get and really enjoy their Italian Grilled Chicken Sandwich and the Smoked Turkey Sandwich. They used to have a Club Sandwich was was really good but I'm don't remember seeing it on the menu in Dec. I'm not crazy about the cucumber-melon salad that comes with the sandwiches so I always substitute fries.

It's more about the setting rather than the food. Don't get me wrong we think the food is ok... we like it fine, it really is just a fun place to eat. All around good time. We have eaten there every visit and we have a ressie for our March trip. The food is the same as any other casual dinning place but the atmosphere puts it over the top for us. Have a good time!

Smoked Turkey Sandwich- not much different than Arby's "market fresh" offerings.
The milkshake was amazing, as was the theming...

We really enjoy Sci Fi . I get the ribs and my DD princess:
gets a burger. She is 8 and she loves the Sci Fi just
as mush as character meals. ;)

The TS restaurants don't serve the same buns that the CS restaurants do. I'm not a big burger fan, but I loved Sci-fi's. Sorry, I can't help w/ anything else. We all ordered burgers.

We did the Sci Fi in Oct 2008, and all I can say, is we tried it but I doubt we will do it again. I got the chicken sandwich and the chicken was undercooked, and I didnt eat much of it. My one daughter had an undercooked burger, we prefer our red meat well done, be it a burger or steak.

The shakes are fantastic, luckily that made up for the food.

It was our least favorite meal of our last trip.

So we all agree we'll get milkshakes for lunch?:cool1:

I'm thinking about trying Sci-Fi this June. For those of you who said that your burgers/chicken were (was) not properly cooked -- did they replace them? What about the greasy onion rings? Did they address your concerns, and make it right?

I can only speak for myself on this. The service was slow when we were there, so I didn't bother to send my burger back since it took a while to get it in the first place (my fault for not allowing them to correct the mistake but we waited about 1/2 hour for our food). The greasy onion rings didn't come out until we were almost done with our food so, again, I didn't bother because we were almost ready to leave. The whole experience kind of soured me on Sci-Fi, and it's a place I've loved in the past. I just chalked it up to a bad day at Sci-Fi, but would probably try it again at some point in the future.

My family hasn't had any complaints on the food there, though my parents and two brothers ate there and didn't enjoy it. I don't know what they had or why they didn't enjoy it.

I can say that the BLT Soup is good! And they used to have a Popcorn Chowder that was yummy.

I don't like there dinner menu anymore. I usually order steak and it was terrible.
