Is it because you can't see everything or you just like to go there?

I'm considering doing a a character breakfast in the morning (late breakfast like 11) and then go to Epcot for the rest of the day and stay for EMH evening. Then another 1/2 we have free, I wasnt sure if I should go back to Epcot and have a nice dinner there or go back to MGM to hit up stuff we missed (we only have 1/2 day at MGM).

my DH and I are not fans of Epcot - we usually have no problem doing everything in a day there - but if you are the type of person who reads and looks at everything - I can really see spending FOREVER there - there is so much to see and do -

we feel like the world showcase is just one big shopping mall and really prefer to spend our time in Future World - my in-laws on the other hand love the food and culture they see in the WS and if they had to pick one park that would be it

on the other hand MGM is our favorite and I don't think you can do the park justice in 1/2 a day - so I would go back there - some people will tell you that MGM in 1/2 a day is plenty of time -my in-laws for example

it really depends on your personality - if I were you - I wouldn't decide now - we always leave a day or two as unplanned so we have the freedom to go do something we missed or really enjoyed

Our family is also split on this. Partner loves to spend days (literally) in WS, while DD and I prefer FW and just a quick stroll around the countries. We usually divide up in this park so everyone ends up happy. As for MGM, we all agree that 1/2 a day would never be enough. We need 1-2 full days there always.

My DW and I are fans of EPCOT. I'm more of a FW fan and she is more of a WS fan, although we both have favorite attractions in each part. We go to EPCOT twice every trip because we can't see everything in one visit. There is just too much to see and do. Plus, we enjoy dining in the WS.

We like to split up our days, one park in the morning/early afternoon, take a break and then a different park in the late afternoon/evening. So we usually do FW in the morning, WS another morning and then an evening in the WS (love it at night).

I actually have 3 'days' set aside for it. but only one of those is a full day. The other two it is the only park we will do but one only for the morning the other only for the evening. I love epcot, and never have had time to 'enjoy' it. My ds is usually pretty good as long as we keep moving. And DD (6 year old) seems to be one to get so much out of the place. She loves history. She loves learning about other countries. She just plain loves learning about new things. I probably will buy them the passports that I've read about and they will do the kidcot stops just to make it a bit more interactive in the showcase. But we will take our time and explore rather than 'race and ride' strategy of the other parks. If the kids dont seem to be enjoying it the first day, I'll probably choose something else on the full day, but I will still keep the 2 half days - both the early and late emh's, and make the most of it. I hope dh will agree but he can always do something else with DS.

We LOVE epcot, and there is a lot to experience, but I'd suggest if you have a last 1/2 day, to go back to whichever park you feel you need more time with. That's what we'll do our last day, decide between us which place we really want to have one last ride, or whatever. Could be more time at MK, could be relaxing around WS.

That is one thing, World Showcase is more slow-paced than the rest of the parks, but I enjoy that. I'm not a big shopper, and another poster mentioned all the merchandise, which is there, but there are so many live performances, and just atmosphere.

Have a good time whatever you do.

Gotta go, we're leaving in a few hours!!! :sunny:

We love Epcot too and usually do 1-1/2 days worth of visits there. We never stay a full day at any park as we prefer to go back to the resort for midday breaks and then do something different in the evening. We usually go to each park atleast twice at different times of the day. We enjoy Epcot but would probably visit MGM if we had to choose between the two for an extra 1/2 day. :)

We love Epcot but we are passed the stage of being there first thing and staying all the way through Illuminations.:faint: We try to go for FW early and leave after lunch in WS. We return another day for a WS dinner, seeing the pavilions, and Illuminations. :earsboy:

There is always something new there or something that we have missed on a previous trip.

We usually spend about 3 days there.

For our 7 day trip this fall, we have 3 "days" planned for Epcot. The days are really more like 1/2 days. We do about 2/3 of WS on day 1, most of FW on day2, and the rest of both on day 3.

Epcot is very large- trying to do the whole park in one day is exhausting! We did that last year- we only had three days to hit all four parks- and we were wiped out by the end of the day. We didn't get to enjoy the last 1/2 of WS- we were just grimly slogging along, trying to get through it all and head back to the resort.

I'd recommend splitting up your time at Epcot between two days... we aren't big fans of MGM, and we can do everything we want there in a little over 1/2 a day.

I think that you can see the major things in one day. But I love Epcot there is so many little treasures to see. I love the WS and walking around the shops that they have. The entertainment is wonderful and we try to get alittle bit from each country. Out of our ten days this trip 3 are for Epcot 3 for MK 2 for MGM and 2 for AK.

Epcot requires a lot of walking. Additionally, we spend quite a bit of time here just eating. :mickeybar With young children in tow, we tend to "do" this park in small chunks. That seems to keep everyone happy. :flower:

My favorite park is Epcot with WS being my favorite part. The entertainment, especially the World Showcase players are such fun. I always enjoy talking to the CM's from other countries and trying food I can't get anywhere else. :flower:

We've been there too many times to count and we still find something new. We finally did the House of Tomorrow in Innoventions. I'm not sure I can explain this but I think everything that they do in FW is so much better in execution then it sounds on paper. If I said finding fire hazards in a house was a blast you'd look at me like  or :confused3 but Disney has a way of making it fun. I think the tendency is to read the description and assume it couldn't be worth their time or uninteresting but we love the plastics exhibit.

My girls beg to go there. Probably because it is continuous fun unlike waiting an hour for a 90 second Dumbo ride. :flower:

Hope I made sense. :flower:

 Hi, We just got back this morning (1:30) and we spent three days at Epcot. One was a full open to close day to see Illuminations. Yesterday, our last day, was 10 - 3:30. We always head to Test Track first and maybe also get a FP for later in the day. This is sort of how it went....
The first day there we spent mostly in FW East with Test Track, Mission Space, Ellen's Energy Adventure, lunch and Spaceship Earth. I also ran over to try out Soarin' - FABULOUS!!
Day 2 DD and I started out with Soarin' then DS and DH met us and we spent the morning in FW west with Soarin' again, Living w/ the Land, Journey Into the Imagination, Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. Hit Test Track in there somewhere. We had lunch at Chefs de France. DS and DH went back to the resort while DD and I started on the countries from Canada around. Then at 7:30 my DH and DS claimed our spot for Illuminations and we relaxed and people watched for a while.
Day 3 we all went to Test Track first, then Soarin', then lunch at Alfredo di Roma Ristorante, finished up the countries we missed the other day - Germany, Norway and Mexico. Had to leave by 3:30.

There is a lot to see and do at Epcot. This was just a general list of the major things we did. We spent a lot of time seeing the Flower and Garden Show exhibits, visiting the imagination areas, character pictures, snacking, people watching, water fountain dance watching, and watching entertainers in the various countries or in FW.

In a seven- or eight-day trip, we'll usually spend about two 1/2 days touring Future World plus 3-4 afternoons or evenings in World Showcase. We usually eat at least four meals in WS restaurants and spend the time around the PS time see the great entertainment in that part of the park. We also typically see Illuminations twice.

We all love Epcot, but we didn't discover that until we had been to WDW a few times.

we tend to go there at the end of our days to just stroll and take things in bit by bit :goodvibes

Epcot is one of our favorites---we dine there 3/4 times on a 11 day trip. We see Illuminations at least 3 times. We also enjoy Mk.

MGM one day and we are done. we sometimes go back to MGM for a half a day--but not usually----

We also like to go to a water park. . .

I would go with the flow and see what you like and go from there.

We go there every single day of every single visit to WDW. In fact, we have spent entire long weekend trips just in Epcot alone. "We" includes dh, and 2 daughters, aged 26 and 18! They still travel with us on many occasions and both love being in Epcot. We have to start and end every WDW vacation in that park

We go several times just because we love it. We usually spend one full day doing all of the attractions, but go back several more times to eat at the different restaurants. I love it there at night.
