I'm seeking information from current and/or former clients of Fidelity if you're comfortable sharing.
1. Did you pass ROFR?
2. How long did it take you to get notified whether you passed or not?
3. What was your resort, UY, & # of points?
4. When did you last work with Fidelity? (this year, last year, 2 years ago, etc.)
5. Would you use them again?

These questions are not meant to pry into your financial dealings regarding your resale from Fidelity, it is only to gauge what I can expect with my journey. Thank you for whatever information you care to share!

Purchased recently using Fidelity on an Aulani subsidized contract. June uy. Made offer on 3/15? It was signed around within a couple of hours from the time I emailed them about a contract I saw in their website. At that point I was contacted by closing company timeshare title inc. They asked for deposit and I authorized 1k no fee deposit on cc. Title company said they wouldn't charge card until passed rofr. On 3/30 the card was charged at like 5am the 1k. I only know this because my Amex sends a notification to my phone for any charge. A couple hours later I received an email from Bonnie at fidelity notifying me that I'd passed and what to expect. Estoppel received on 4/11. Closing documents received on 4/24 and I sent in $ and paperwork. Contract recording noted on 4/26. I made a reservation with my points on 5/6/17. Others report Aulani can take longer but I don't think in my case that was true. Also cost wise, Fidelity was less $ to close including the $195 fee than any other company. I would definitely use them in the future. They also charge sellers 5% instead of 8 percent or higher Some of the others charge sellers. I'm sorry but an 8+% commission is a bit on the ridiculous side if you ask me. It's not just the cost of the commission sellers have to pay. Also look at the fees to close. Some are more than twice the price of others.

Read the ROFR thread. The items you're asking about wouldn't vary by broker. You're asking for a lot of data but that doesn't equate to information. What is it you really want to know?

I do read the rofr thread but that has buyers from many different brokers who aren't listed. And actually the information I seek would vary from broker to broker IMO and exactly why I am curious.

What I want to know is exactly what I posted and it is information. It's information that will give me an idea of their percentage of contracts that are bought by Disney. Didn't think it was confusing but hopefully that makes more sense. If you don't want to contribute that's perfectly fine, but I believe those who choose to will give me insight.

Thank you very much for your detailed account of your timeline!! Can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Waiting for ROFR is no fun...so I'm basically fishing for hope and peace of mind lol. Seems like things went pretty quick!! Thanks again!!

Why does it vary by broker?

Used fidelity a few years ago, communication was horrible. At that time Disney had a working relationship with fidelity and used them to sell some of their contracts. Don't know if that is true today. I did hear that Disney is using a online realtor in San Francisco to sell contracts resale.

I was told that they are the preferred reseller of Disney and have been for many years. But I too heard there are possibly 2 now? First time ever hearing of a SF company. Thank you for sharing!

Why does it vary by broker?
That's what I'm trying to determine. It is my opinion that it could vary by broker. In looking at ROFR timelines, price and etc., I think I'm seeing a pattern. Since Fidelity is the "preferred" reseller of Disney and are much lower cost than anyone else, I'm trying to figure out if there is anything they do differently, better or worse than others. One reseller posts their ROFR totals by month which I find interesting. Wanting to compare their numbers with the company I'm working with. Curiosity

Pull the deeds from public records from the property that you are looking at and you can see all the properties that were taken by ROFR. Others that have posted here have said that their only reason for taking via ROFR isn't just price. I tend to agree with that as use year and unit #s also potentially play a significant role in ROFR.

Vacatia and Fidelity are both "preferred brokers" from what I understand. When an owner contacts Disney to ask about selling their contracts, they are directed to one of those companies for more information.

Used Fidelity to get 160 AKV contract after getting a SSR 160 contract taken in ROFR using DVC Resale Market. Ended up with a cheaper contract for AKV through Fidelity. The offer and counter offer process was handled via email in a couple hours and was quite easy. I found them to get back to me quickly whenever I had a question but they weren't proactive with providing info if that's what you're looking for. I was told about passing ROFR about 3 weeks after offer acceptance. I would use them again.

I'm using fidelity now and they've been very responsive and helpful through the process. Very quick turnaround for everything that was on them. Fingers crossed to pass rofr then I can comment on overall process and timeline.

Good luck on rofr! We're in the same boat.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, when looking up deeds going to DVD in the past few months, there is no information in there about sales price other than the "$10 and other goood and valuable considerations" line. Is there a different document type that would have the amount paid in it that still shows DVD as the grantee?

Vacatia is headquartered in SF.

We also experienced some unprofessional service working with them in the past. Issues included unresponsiveness, closing fees higher than what was quoted, long delays, and contracts that would stay on their site months after we had closed on them. But they seem to have made significant strides recently - our recently transaction with them went very smoothly.

I bought a couple of resale contracts with another broker. One took over 100 days start to finish and the other less than 60. I think the title company plays a big part in the time line. I know that you are not at that point yet, but just be prepared.

It is just a waiting came and nothing seems to help with that process. I think brokers can only do so much. There are so many other players that can draw out the process. I can say that once you get your points it will be a happy day. But, then you have to wait for your booking window and wait for your trip, so just more waiting.

I looked as well and didn't find any rel
