For those who booked a delayed honeymoon...

Were you able to use the Honeymoon Registry?

Our wedding is late May next year, but because a few of our friends are getting married this year (thus using our vaca days for them) we can't take our honeymoon right after the wedding. So we're going to do it in late Sept/early October instead.
I want to use the Honeymoon registry, but it seems like any discount codes for that time of the year won't be out until May anyway. We can't make a registry for people unless we're booked, but we don't want to book without a discount code. Did anyone else have this issue? Are we better off just throwing "Disney Gift Cards" on our Amazon (catch-all) registry? Isn't that kind of tacky? Agh. I have no idea!

You can do the Honeymoon Registry any time, as long as you have a confirmation # for a resort reservation.

if you know when you want to go next year you can always make your reservations now, and then when discounts are released next year you can adjust your reservation. that way you can create your registry now even though it won't be used until further down the road

Yes! That does make sense. That was what I was hoping we could do - book it, start a registry, then adjust the reservation if I get a discount. I wasn't sure if they allowed it.

Just to update - in the end we decided to do half WDW/half DCL. We booked the Disney Dream right away and set up our honeymoon registry with that. We were able to add items from WDW and DCL to the registry, so it worked out.

Happy Honeymoon to you! So what was on your honeymoon to do list. Like what restuarants, romantic places/things did you do. I hope you don't mind me asking. I just want ideas. My husband and I were married earlier this year and will be going on our honeymoon in October to WDW and US.
