For those that remember me from 5 years ago

I had a 20 hour surgery for an acoustic neuroma (a type of benign brain tumor). It has been a very long journey from being sick to surgery to continued recovery. But I can't believe it's been 5 years. I've adjusted to my new normal as best I can.

Wishes was my inspiration in the hospital and I was there one year post op to see it. I will be there in just 11 days to Celebrate again.

I wanted to post for all my "friends" who were with me five years ago. I remember my dh reading posts from the DIS to me when I was in the hospital. The DIS Community Board was definitely a big part of my recovery.
