My niece and I are booked this summer for this trip and I was wondering about the water rafting day? How long does the rafting last and what do you wear? Is it cold?

TIA

We have never done the Disney Adventures trip, but since we go to Jackson, WY, each summer, thought I might help. We have been rafting many times, usually on the Snake River. You will have a blast. Keep a look-out for bald eagles (we've seen over 20 on the dinner rafting trip). The temperature depends on what time of the summer you are rafting, be prepared for cold. You are rafting in mountain run-off. We were there the beginning of July last year and it was cold. They did supply wet suits if you wanted them. The good thing about the earlier summer is the water level of the river is higher, so the rapids are better. It is not so cold that you will regret going, that's for sure. You are in for a treat. We have traveled extensively, and this area is really one that will warm your heart. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you, we are actually going late summer, which may be better since neither of us have been rafting before. I will definately look out for the bald eagles, that would be great if we saw one. I was in this area when I was a kid and it is always one I have wanted to return to. It is so beautiful out there.

We did Quest For The West - Wyoming last year. The white water rafting is amazing! It is along the Snake River and lasts about 1 1/2 hours. Weather should be perfect!

A funny note -- my son and I went white water rafting while we were in Cody, WY visiting my mom and dad several years ago. One thing NOT to wear: blue jeans. Duh! I thought, "It will be cold; I should wear my jeans." That was so dumb. You know how heavy jeans get when they're wet? If that raft had gone over, I would have had to strip, for sure. Anyway, just note. Wear something light but long. You'll be soaked if it's white water. But it was definitely one of the highlights of my son's trip. (He's 11 now -- was 9 then.)

Oops... Posted under my son's screen name. He'll be ticked at me. Oh well! :-)
