For those that flew with a jogging stroller

For those of you that flew with a jogging stroller, did you gate check it? If so, did you bag it and take the wheels off or just leave it as is.

We traveled with a BOB Revolution Duallie. A big stroller! We gate checked it each time and never had a problem. We didn't take it apart or bag it up. Just folded it.
The worker that handled it each time had no problems with it and each time it came back up clean and in good condition. We had no issues!

We gate checked it. We just folded it up right before we got in the boarding line. We did use bungee cords to keep it all together though. Our is a double and it doesn't have any kind of latch to keep it closed. So, if you have a similar situation, I would bring a few bungee cords so that they a)don't break it and b)don't hurt themselves loading it onto the plane.

We didn't gate check it, instead checked it with the baggage. It was a double jogging stroller.

My kids were old enough to walk at the airport but wanted it at the parks. So my feeling was to let someone else deal with it as soon as possible. It also back in the days when we could check 2 bags per person at no additional cost. Although, I'm not sure if a stroller counts.

We have a BOB revolution too (but the single one). We just put it in its bag and checked it as our baby item. It was easier for us to just carry DS around the airport. Also, we used our layover to just let him run around instead of being in the stroller since it got him tired enough to be calmer inside the plane.
