For those that do NOT do rope drop...

Sounds like a great plan. :thumbsup2

This is our WDW year to relax too. At least that's what we keep telling ourselves. ;) With that in mind, we might schedule a lunch ADR here or there just so that we're not tied to anything else that day after our 3rd FP+ is up early afternoon.

I am sitting here with a blank piece of paper with MK written on top and MSEP and Wishes on it. That's IT!!! LOL And it is only day 1 of our stay! I seriously think the more you go, sometimes the harder the decisions become! LOL!

I don't know how to do more than one quote on a post or I would quote both of you but to answer your questions. We are there for 10 days and going the end of August/beginning of September. Lines are normally low. We never have a need for a 4th FP actually.

We have decided to do away with breakfast ADRs this trip totally. I like getting them out of the way and love breakfast BUT I do like getting to the park a little bit earlier so we can get that prime attraction time without the crowds.

I'm liking the FP idea for 10-11 at first. Then going from there. Most likely early dinners will be our thing this trip...and maybe lunches too in case we do not want to spend all our time at the park (which we usually do the first 4 days and then the next 5-6 days taking it real slow and more resort time).

We also going for 10 nights during the same time frame and have the same mindset going in.

We are a 50/50 mix with rope drop. I "demand" that each park get a rope drop day. After that I don't mind starting late. We have a day where we will get to MK for PM EMH around 5 pm for BBB and CRT. We will shut the park down. Also a late start at Epcot and shut the park down and the same with MK for our last full park day. We have two complete rest days where we won't go to a park.

I plan on doing our FP+ starting around 10-11 and then staggering them 11-12, 12-1. On our late start days I will probably start our FP's around 2.

I've decided no breakfast ADR's (except for maybe check out day) and doing dinners around 5-6. We won't even be doing an ADR everyday. My kids prefer no ADR's because they like evenings to be free and there are so many QS places I want to try. They go with the flow and don't like it when I say "but we have to be to dinner at 5:30. They only ask for CM and CRT.

I have almost the same plan. WE are doing 3 MK days, and 2 days at each park. HS we have one morning day so that my kids can do Jedi training and then the next day we stay until close for Fantasmic. Epcot we normally get early for Soarin' and Test Track and then head out early and the next time we will stay at the park until close but get there later. Animal Kingdom is normally get there when we get there and then stay until close. Animal Kingdom and HS do get tricky with the amount of shows we enjoy but I always tell my kids to pick a "must do". We all name our must do and we get them done. Anything else we do that day is the cherry on top :)

I have found that we enjoy 4-5 hours at the parks. Then we get cranky! With 9 full park days though, that's plenty of time for each park especially during low crowds.

Lately we have found so much enjoyment in the pool, walking around resorts and down time!

We've never managed to do rope drop. My excuse is that being from the west coast we've got a 3 hour time difference. On our last trip, Sept 2014, we scheduled all our FP+ for between 12-3. The idea being to try and get them for the busiest part of the day. Overall it seemed to work out okay.

We get cranky too because it's SO hot! We will be there 8/26-9/5.

We park hop and will go to Epcot or MK in the evening if we feel up to it. But my kids consider the pool and resort fun (movie on the beach, pool games, exploring) a HUGE part of vacation. So 3-5 hours of pool time a day is important to them.

We don't do pool every single day but we do love our pool days! We haven't done a movie in a long time. Maybe we will try to do one this trip at CBR!

We just schedule whenever it makes the most sense for us that day. Sometimes we plan them for right when we think we'll be hitting the park. Sometimes we want to park hop and use the FPs in our second park, so we'll schedule those later in the evening. We're not too bothered with trying to get additional FPs beyond the initial three, so that's never been a factor in the times we choose. I basically just choose based on when it will be most crowded and when we'll be looking to hit rides. It's seemed to work out for us so far.
