For those of you that have called to see if you have a PIN, were they able to find your PIN the first time you called or did you need to call multiple times? I called yesterday to see if by chance I had a PIN and was told no. I was going to ask the CM to check under DH's name as he is the one that I usually book our reservations under, but as the CM was checking for me he said he was checking under our household for any discounts. I am wondering what the chances are of a CM "finding" a PIN if I try again. :confused3

it never hurts to ask you know? i've been reading this particular forum for a few days now and it seems that everyone is told different things by different CMs

I called yesterday and was told there wasn't a pin. Today I received a postcard in the mail with a pin and when I called they said, yes I see your pin. :confused3 :confused3

frustrating to deal with the CMs sometimes isn't it? I hope you get all of your discounts straightened out soon and you have a wonderful trip!

how bizarre! Did you have to give them the PIN and then they confirmed it or did you just tell them you got a postcard and they said "I see your pin"?
I guess it doesn't hurt to try again. I am so bummed about not getting some kind of discount this year!

No I didn't have to give them my code. They never asked for it either.

I called awhile back and asked if there was a pin attached to my name and was told if I didn't have the card or email in hand with the pin code on it, there wasn't one for me. So I'm still putting good vibes out there that maybe one day I'll go to my mailbox and there will be a pin code awaiting me! If not, I don't mind calling multiple times in order to speak with different people, to see if anything has changed.

I've gotten two e-mail pins in the past...one for special moderate rates in 2005 and one for SSR/OKW upgrade this March. Both times I had to surrender a copy of my e-mail, which I did because I was told when I booked I would have to show proof. Be careful if you book w/just the CM saying you had a pin but w/no actual postcard or e-mail.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I did receive an email PIN once before ~ for free dining in 2005 about 2 weeks before it opened to the public. I never needed to show any proof of the pin offer, but that's probably because it was eventually opened up to the public anyway

In checking my reservation today, I realized I am paying $65.60 night (before taxes) with AAA rate. Thats only a little more than the quoted $59 postcard rate so I wouldn't really be saving much anyway. Oh well ~ guess I'll be happy that I got AAA rate for the resort we wanted! Thanks again!

I've lied to the CM in the past and stated that I think I received a PIN, but deleted or lost it and would they check what it was. I did receive the PIN over the phone, but it wasn't a better deal than I already had, so I never used it.

I agree... for a whopping difference of $6.60/night, I don't see the big deal. I guess if you don't have AAA, the $59 vs. $84 would make a nice chunk of savings. Free dining with the $84 rack rate is still a better deal, if you have at least 2 adults in the room - and an awesome deal if you have 2 adults and 2 children over 10!

I'm still trying to straighten out the issue with my email always being "turned off". The other problem in my case is that whenever they pull up my name, I'll here a "wow...you have ALOT of households!". Now granted, I do have four kids, but they've always lived with us. We've travelled with other friends/family but always have given their address, not ours ( well, almost always ). The last time I called I was told they had my address in Elmira, NY. I've never lived in Elmira nor do I know anyone who has. I'd love to know how the ressie records get so screwed up but I figure until my households are "cleaned up" and merged into one I'll never get an accurate PIN offer. Sigh. ---Kathy
