For those that asked what WPASADI is...

Thought I would explain it for you in here because, well, it's not an easy explanation so I thought I would start fresh.

WPASADI stands for Wickedly Perfect Amazing Surviving American DIS Idol.

It was a brainchild of mine over a year ago when I was looking for something to get my mind off of being sick.

It is the ultimate in a combination of reality shows and real life online challenge.

30 DISers signed up for each "episode". We divided them into teams. Every week each team was given a challenge to compete in that had hints of famous reality shows based in the challenge.

There were celebrity judges - Simon Cowell (Kayla's favorite - btw - Kayla is cowinner of the very first WPASADI!), Judge Judy, Phil Keoghan, etc. Each week they would score the entries the teams submitted and award immunity to the best project.

The members of the other teams then had to complete an individual immunity challenge which would be put up for a DIS poll vote to see who would be "going home that week". As we got closer to the end, it became individual challenges from the start with one person winning immunity that week based on judges reviews.

So far the WPASADI winners have been Kaylajr, DemonLlama, MsLeFever and Rajah.

This contest has put out some of the most creative efforts I have seen in a long time. Kayla and DemonLlama cohosted with me for season 2 and between the three of us, we threw some pretty awesome challenges at them. Here are the links to some of the challenges:

There is a lot more if you search the word "WPASADI" on Community Board you'll find a ton of posts. I wish I was able to show you some of the work from Season 2 but the majority of the challenges were completed as a website and they are no longer valid.

It was a lot of fun for everyone but it is a lot of work. If you are creatively aggressive and love a challenge, you would love it.

I did read a few of the challenges from WPASADI last summer. I was so impressed by the creativity, both from the players and from the creators at coming up with the challenges. My favorite part of Survivor, The Apprentice, etc is always the challenges more than the personality stuff so this was great. Kudos to all of you involved, and especially you, Lauri for coming up with the idea! Let us know if you do another one. I don't think I'd have the time to participate, but I'd definitely like to follow it!

Thanks NE Eeyore Kayla and I havent actually discussed WPASADI3 and any plans to make it happen (trust me, it takes a LOT of work behind the scenes before we can even take applications for it! But if we do get the third season going, we will always be needed "celebrity" judges too - so it's a fun way to participate but only need to spend an hour or so a week on it judging the entries.
