For those still waiting to hear...weird signs?

For anyone who is still waiting to hear back about their interview or even people who have recently been accepted...did you have weird Disney signs from Walt or God or SOMEONE? LOL

I was sitting in the cafeteria today alone and "Strangers Like Me" came on followed by a commercial for the Disney channel...commercials aren't even normally PLAYED in the cafeteria because normally it's someone's ipod? I've had DREAMS (they were bad news though). My friend also applied and said she was just driving behind someone with a license plate saying "Disney". Are we psyching ourselves out?! Or what is going onnn lol. It's been 2 weeks for me.. only 10 days for her, but it's driving us nuts!

HAHAHAHA oh man glad to know I'm not crazy there have been SO many signs. Honestly I've already been acceppted but in talking to people from my last program 2 years ago a good number of us are alll headed back down for this program. Also I was cleaning my room and came across all my old Disney Traditions stuff (No idea why I kept that) including my Disney Look Book and to top it all off I got a post card thing in the mail from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts that said we miss you, hope to see ya soon, this was all during the week leading up to my acceptance

The Walt special on tv the other day was one, the tons of ads on the internet for WDW vacations and of course when you go to check the weather in the example box for a city it says "e.g. Disney World." Love that, lol!

I'm not waiting for an acceptance like most of you are (seeing as how I'm still on the dcp) but thought I'd share my story. Last year when I applied for fall/FA, I remember before my interview I used to get tons of Disney e-mails. Disney store.com, Disney movie club, Disney destinations, etc. I would get them each one at least 2 or 3 times a week.
Then after my interview, I stopped getting them. No e-mails. Absolutely nothing. About two days before I recieved my acceptance e-mail, I started getting those e-mails again. I saw that as a major sign for something.
The day I was accepted I didn't follow my normal routine of getting out of bed, go on the computer, go on facebook, then checking my e-mails. Instead I stayed in bed and just checked my e-mail on my phone. When I saw "Your Invitation" in the subject area. I knew exactly what it was.

Well, I will admit, I am not waiting for my letter. I was accepted into the DCP for Spring 2011 and will be checking in on 2/21.

When I applied for the DCP, it was in August 2010 and I waited and waited and waited through my phone interview on 8/24, then my pending status on 9/7... and waited. And waited. And I never heard anything from Disney.

Around Halloween, the school had psychics and tarot card readers on campus (just for kicks. once a month or so they do fun things like chocolate lollipops, or picture snowglobes, etc.) So I spoke to a psychic who read my tarot and my palm and when she asked me if I had questions, I explained the DCP, and said I was waiting, and was it looking good for me. I figured it couldn't hurt, right?! If I got in, I could say, 'Hmm. Maybe it was legit!' and if I didn't, I could say, 'Well, eff that. Lame fake psychics at school...'

She told me that I would be hearing something via the phone, and I laughed it off a little, since everyone knows you don't find out over the phone. You get a letter!

On 12/10, the last day for pending people to find out if they got in or not, I called the DCP, and the sweetest boy ever (Taylor) put me through to a lovely woman who told me she was pleased to offer me a DCP position in merch.

So yes... I found out over the phone. Just like that psychic lady said. Maybe it's all a load of poo, but... you never know.

I am still waiting...today marks 2 weeks!

I have had a bunch of dreams that said I got in, and only one pending nightmare...haha. This is my first time applying to the program. Everywhere I go I always over hear people talking about disney one way or another, this morning when I woke up I had "Go The Distance" from Hercules stuck in my head which is weird because I haven't seen Hercules in awhile or heard the song since! Disney Online set me a text message Friday afternoon about something in regards to Pirates of the Caribbean! So yeah...its good that I am not the only one going crazy!

I am hoping I hear back soon!

OMG! That's awesome! I think some psychics are full of it for sure, but that sounds pretty legit to me!

I love everyone's stories...haven't had any Disney signs yet today so... hopefully it's the calm before the storm? Tomorrow may be the day?

I was doing my Arabic homework, a translation drill, and one of the sentences said something along the lines of Walt Disney World is a great place for people of all types and ages. It was a bit random----but it felt like a sign *hopefully*

Yeah I am quoting myself...LOL, because something great happened today!

So while waiting online for a sandwich and the Sub Shop in the student union two guys behind me were talking about the Disney College Program and how their friend is down there now doing it and how he is liking it. The chances of two guys getting behind me online to talk about the Disney College Program on my campus………is very slim since I will probably be the only student from my college doing it for the season I am going out for. I really hope that was a good sign!

I am waiting to find out if I got accepted into the summer alumni program and I have had dreams for the past two nights that I was working down there. Including one where I was working at the Haunted Mansion, my dream job!

I am on day 8 of waiting to hear back for the Fall program! I am getting into the waiting craziness and check my email every 5 seconds.

So this is my weird sign. My boyfriend only watches ESPN and these past couple of days after the super bowl they have been running the commercials with the song "when you wish upon a star" and all the players yelling "I'm going to Disney World!!!" I have only seen the commercial once, the other 10 times I am somewhere else in the apartment. I stop everything I am doing, like seriously I freeze then I forget what I was doing in the first place. I even woke up yesterday night from deep sleep when I heard it, and he was in the living room passed out on the couch.

I don't know if I am going crazy or what, it's probably like everyone else waiting for an answer.

I read this thread a couple days ago and thought it was hilarious (I don't doubt any of your stories, though), but I didn't have any stories of my own. But I'm pending, so I expected to have a dream or two. And I had one. Two nights ago, I dreamed that my mom came inside from getting the mail and said, "Lindsey, look what you got!" And she held up two purple envelopes. I was really excited, but ever since, I've been wondering about the two envelopes. I'm inclined to interpret it that I have 2 CPs in my future. But I don't really believe it will predict the future. Just a product of my one-track mind.

Dont know what to make of this but.......the day i got my acceptance email i had to do a presentation on a case about Disney for my marketing strategy class got home and had my email waiting for me.........coincidence I THINK NOT.
