how bad was the construction? did it interfere w/the "disney magic feeling?" We are staying there next week and was just wondering...

thank you!

I stayed at the GC for most of my stay and only one night at the DLH, but did eat at GK and Steak House 55 a few times over the week I was there. I found the construction to be a little annoying and slightly inconvenient, but not so where it ruined my stay. The pool area with the monorail slides are great and little pool next to it is ok, you do wish that the entire pool area was done. It will be beautiful when done and probably crazy busy. Walking around the Fantasy tower to get to the restaurants was slightly inconvenient, but we dealt with it. I had a beautiful room and I was so glad I did it for one night because it's hard to tell when I'll be be back. Good family memories were made and my wife just loved the hotel. Even more so than the Grand.

thanks for your reply. i was starting to get worried thinking maybe we should have booked GCH instead - i imagine the construction is annoying but glad it didn't ruin the "feel"; I was most concerned about this.

thanks again.

Enjoy yourself and be sure to eat at Steak House 55 because the food and service is top shelf. I'm sure you will have a great time, I know I did.
