Here's a gross out for you: one of my fellow enumerators came in today throwing up/white as a ghost/could hardly stand. Despite her spending most of the first 2 hrs running back and forth to the bathroom, our blankety blank trainer would NOT send her home. Two of us finally spoke up, and THEN he called his boss (who didn't answer), so he "let" her go sit in her truck for ANOTHER hour until the boss called him back and allowed him to release her. Puh-lease....

I wasn't going to bother replying because the census is over but this one struck me. I'm sure my people thought I was a blankety blank trainer for letting a woman stay in the class despite being ill. However unemployment is quite high in my neck of the woods. If I had released her she would have been out of a job because it was the last training class (I asked). Even if there had been another class it might have been all the work she got. I had compassion for her because I have had a similar situation with seasonal work... I got sick but had to drag my butt in to class to keep my job.
