for those of you who take amtrak

Where do you park your car ? Do you have long term parking at your station? I am trying to find out for my self, but I can not find out any info about my local Amtrak station.

Our departure station has an area for parking, no charge and we contact the local police department that we will be leaving an auto at this location, along with a second contact person in case of emergency plus our insurance companys phone number, to keep an eye on. After 10 some trips, no problems, always there, even in the snow. Its an unmanned station with no baggage, the train just stops and we board with our luggage.

Try calling directly to a reservations agent. Sometimes stations which offically lack long-term (overnight) parking will have information listed as to where you can park, as well as other information.
