For those of you who know - an update

Many of you have been very supportive the last day or so and I am worried that if I send PMs with an update to each of you, I will forget someone.

So, for those of you that know...

She was in for about 3 hours (much longer than expected). Overall, when completed, all went well. We were able to spend some time with her this evening. She was very tired, but excited to see us (a good sign).

They are keeping her for 3 days (we hoped for only 1) for observation because everything was more involved than expected. However, the doctors were happy with the results and she pulled through just fine. YAY! We are not quite out of the woods yet, but as things sit right now, they are as good as could be hoped for.

I could not believe how many of you took the time to ask / send notes / and even call to check on how things went. I passed all of your kindness and concerns on to her and family. Thanks.

On a personal note, the last 2 days some of you played pirates with me game after game without a lot of visiting while playing. True, this is not my normal manner, but the last 2 days it was really what I needed - a fellow matey/friend who was willing to play again and again and again without much chatting so I could just to get lost in something. It helped distract me. Thanks.

I am exhausted, but I think the above updates those of you who know the situation.

One final note: I know we all know it in our hearts, but... If someone in your life really matters to you - dont wait to tell them. You just never ever know. May you all never know just how long of a day it was today.

Jegrezo, so glad to hear the your MIL pulled through the surgery like a trooper I know that surgeries are sometimes unpredictable, but it is a good thing that they took extra time and got EVERYTHING fixed and did it GOOD

UPDATE: I am VERY happy to share that the doctor has sent her home to rest and recover there!
