I was originally planning on taking them to staples and printing them there because I was concerned about the amount of ink I would use. I know that some of you have printed them out. How badly is it draining your ink cartridges?

I have 4 journals to print which will probably be about 40 pages long. Then I have 4 autograph books to print which will probably be about 50 pages long (that's fitting two on a page). If I took this to Staples, it would cost $176 just to print!!!!

Any suggestions?

I printed mine myself, I used the fast normal print and trimmed them with a paper trimmer. I am going to use a bind it all to assemble.

I have been following this post carefully since I think I will have to print my own, but I have to ask, what is "bind it all"?????? I am pretty new to the scrapbooking field.

I have printed autograph books so far.The autograph books were 6x6 size with about 35 pages front and back that's 70 designs total. I am able to print between 3 and 4 of the books on one ink cartridge. Staples charges a lot to print color copies. I think it is much cheaper to print them and have them bind and cut them. I have two printers at home but I took the advice of the Staples rep. that told me the hp. printers print much more copies than the average printer. When I order ink on the hp web site it says that one of my ink cart. will print abbout 220 pg. I would say they are about right

Thanks everyone...

I have no idea why I thought it would be less expensive to have the pages printed! lol

Just a FYI to everyone. Staples charges 59-79 cents per page for colored copies.:scared1: That was the look on my face the first time I asked about the prices.

Thanks for the link. I was thinking it was some kind of sticky stuff like at the top of pads of paper :lmao:

You were probably reading the posts about it costing people like $8 to print. I thought that was MUCH cheaper then I could do it, but I didn't consider how many pages *I* would want printed:rotfl:

I had a post that was entitled creatively challenged. Since it sounds like it is going to be so expensive to do all the printing and binding, does WDW have themed journals and autograph books that we can just buy? I know that a lot of you really enjoy the process but I find it to be very time consuming. I am really wanting to do what is least expensive. Is it cheaper to print your journal/autograph book or to purchase one?

The things that are available onsite come no where close to what is offered here.

The autograph books are plan sheets of paper with a Disney laminated cover. I ended up having to buy three the last time I went because I forgot my cut cardstock. I spent 5o bucks just on those.

Think I'm going to print all my autograph, journal and passport pages too. Most Walgreens refill ink cartridges now and it's a lot cheaper than buying new! I just did this for the first time and have had no problems. They charge $10 for black and $15 for color.

I took mine to Staples and it cost $30 for 2 books to be printed, trimmed and bound. My book were about 20 pages, they charged $.049/pg color. Staples does have a Perks card (anyone can sign up immdeiately) and get 10% off the print center.

I printed just one of the journals and didn't even use all of the pages and I used more than one printer cartridge. Decided it wasn't worth it to print another. I will just finish this one since I already have so much money wrapped up in it. Wish I would have thought about that before I started.
I really appreciate the time and effort the designer put into making the pages. We'll use the one for both boys. They can take turns handing it into school for their assignment.

What printer setting did you use? I set mine on normal fast and normal.

Since you already printed out in color, check and see what Staples charges for making color copies vs color print outs
