For those of you watching for Titus Updates...

I have a good one! Titus emailed yesterday and said his life has gotten much more comfortable in the last week. He said that they got a swamp cooler for their tent, new showers that have water pressure and they have hired some local people to cook food for them so they aren't eating MREs three times a day anymore. Titus said exactly what type of meat they are serving might be a bit of a mystery but it tastes good so he's not going to ask too many questions, lol.

Is he in the batallion that just received longer orders than they had anticipated? I want to say 3rd Infantry.....

I am thinking Titus is with the 101st. ?? DH gets the Army Times and it shows that most of our Army Divisions are in Iraq or Kuwait at this time(I "think" DH said only 1 Division remains undeployed). Many were there before and during the war, and many more have gone over afterward. Some segments of the Divisions have returned, but not entire divisions. I think the 3rd ID had 2 small groups return last week, but that is a small percentage of what is still left over there.
Glad to hear Titus is feeling at home over there! DH ate some strange meats over there during the first war, never did know what they were !

Titus is with the 101st Airborne out of Ft. Campbell, KY. Redeployment dates are something that is really up in the air right now.
The 3rd infantry looks to be coming home first, followed by the 101st. The 3rd infantry will go home enmass but the 101st will probably be replaced in bits and pieces so it's really hard to tell when Titus might get to come home. Titus said yesterday that they are hearing rumors of January but really no one knows yet.

Keli- Isn't Titus somewhere near Mosul? If so, I hope he wasn't one of the 200 members of the 101st that was involved in today's firefight there. Luckily, only one US soldier was wounded and no one was captured. Hopefully they did get Saddam's sons.

Our news said it was confirmed that 2 of the 4 Iraqi's dead are in fact the 2 sons.

I have been wondering/worrying how he has been doing. Especially with all the events going on. How is Ashli doing? She must be half out of her mind!
I pray he will be home safe and sound, soon. I wear my yellow ribbon everyday.
