Kringle Candle company is a new candle company started by the original owner of Yankee Candle(Mike Kittredge)and his son, Mick. The candle scents are heavenly and best of all, the candles are all white, so go with any decor and burn very bright. They have a beautiful candle store, Christmas Barn and Chocolate Cottage, as well as an upscale restaurant in Bernardston, MA. They have a website kringlecandle.com and their Christmas scents are on sale online if someone wants to try them. They are also available at alot of little retail stores around the country(see website for locations). I am a HUGE fan of this new company as they have been great to my little town and have employed lots of local people. Please check them out - you won't be disappointed!

Their motto is 'the way it used to be' because of the way Yankee Candle used to be run back when Mike Kittredge owned the company.

the store my sister works in just started selling these- they're phasing out their yankee candles and trying to replace them with kringle candles. They smell really good, and we have a few in our house.

I was really disappointed with my Yankee candles this holiday season. The votives did not burn the same and only lasted several hours each. I am ready to try something new. Thanks for the recommendation!

Another option are the candles sold at Bath and Body Works (Slatkin & Co). They are so much better than Yankee Candle.

They burn clean (no nasty sooty wall/ceilings), they burn evenly (you end up with an empty jar, not a jar of wax with a hole down the middle like YC) and the smells are wonderful. :)

I just got some for Christmas, hot chocolate scented! They smell so good, and can't wait to try one.

Yes. I really do like them but I noticed that the strength of the fragrance is hit or miss. Some are really strong, and some I can't smell at all when they are burning.

Their customer service can't be beat - if you come across a candle that you're disappointed with the scent throw, give them a call and they will replace the candle. And no, I don't work for Kringle, but live just around the corner and follow everything they do. They are wonderful 'neighbors' and generous in our little town. Mike and Mick are such down-to-earth people and are always around talking to customers. They are very receptive to what people think and want to keep their customers happy!

P.S. If you notice on the labels of the candles - some say they are highly fragrant, while others do not. That might be one thing to check out.

I agree. The scents are stronger too. :thumbsup2

I also discovered the wax burners from Better Homes and Gardens - WOW, they are terrific! :thumbsup2

I'm officially off Yankee Candles and I have been a fan for many years.

Thanks for the info. I am going to check it out next time we are out that way.

I will have to try these! I'm a Yankee Candle fan, have yet to find any other brand that has tarts as good as theirs. I do have some cotton candy Slatkin from B&BW that smell amazing! I just wish they sold tarts because that's what I primarily use.

Just wondering where the store is located. I think I have been there it was a ways down the street from Yankee and I think it was some sort of barn if I am correct? I seem to remember going there once after I went to Yankee and the candles were all white.

Yes! I read about Kringle Candle in a newspaper magazine and was intrigued. My former inlaws lived in the area back when Yankee Candle was smaller, and the store was built around the factory--I loved watching the candles being made. YC has changed so much over the years, and not necessarily for the better.

It was nice to hear about this company, but I had a hard time finding them here in MN. One local florist/gift shop carries them--I went to their store, and bought the last Kringle Candle they had in stock. Luckily it was a good scent! Hopefully, they will carry more in the future.

I love Slatkin & Co!!! Right now I am burning Dark Chocolate Mint and Winter Cabin!!!

I use there frangrance oils and room sprays too!!!

To me, Yankee can't hold a candle (no pun intended) to Slatkin!!!

I will check out the Kringle Candle Company.

I think you went to another candle company(New England Candle?) that is in Deerfield. Kringle Candle is only a year old and is located in Bernardston, MA. It's the last town on Rt 91 North in Massachusetts. There are several buildings, including the renovated colonial home that is part of the restaurant, The Farm Table. The Kittredges are trying to make this a destination and are planning such things as a car museum and a working farm to show people where their food in the restaurant comes from. I've asked them when they are going to build Kringle Condos for us that live nearby!
