…I bought the uber-trendy (and I swear I’m not that kind of person) Loop earplugs for my daughter when she had a concussion. I tried wearing them on a whim in the parks and have found that they have made a world of difference. I can still hold a normal conversation and enjoy the music and atmosphere around me, but everything is just a little bit quieter. They are also super secure, so after extensive testing I never worry about them falling out on a roller coaster, and am able to wear them comfortably all day long. I have the Engage and Experience models, both with mutes in, and honestly I can’t tell much of a difference between the two performance-wise. Technically Engage is for conversations and Experience is for music. I find myself reaching for the Experience ones more often when in the parks. The feedback that i have from my family is that I speak more quietly when I’m wearing them. I also have the Quiet ones that I wear on planes if I’m trying to sleep (I’m a side sleeper so I’ll put a noise cancelling wired headphone in one ear and this in the other), but here I really wish they blocked even more noise.

Note that these aren’t noise cancellation earplugs so if you have someone who is sensitive to overstimulation you’ll want something more heavy duty. But for me, they take the edge off *just enough* to make my day a bit more enjoyable.

Agree, one of my daughters has a sensory processing disorder. I bought her a pair of these and she loves them. She can still hear but noises don't overwhelm her as much.

Yes... both DD and the Little Guy use Loops earplugs and DD says they allow her to sort out the background noises that usually are at equal volume with everything else. We bought the lanyard that Loop makes for the Little Guy, when we went to Disney, and he didn't lose his earplugs. It's much easier for both of them when they are out in crowds. DD said she's tried several brands of earplugs but the Loops really are superior.
