Did you notice a lot less flowers in your garden/flower pots this year?

Last year my geraniums and hisbiscus plants were covered in flowers by August.

This year I have almost no flowers :confused3 (although the plants have plenty of healthy green leaves)

Do you think it was the extreme heat last month?

Oh yes! even my hearty marigolds are dull. NO tomatoes or any other veggie flourished. I thought it was just me but every neighbor is saying the same thing. Plus all our grass is golden dry.

Thank you for your input :thumbsup2 I was so disappointed in the hibiscus plants, I nursed them through the winter in my basement and was so looking forward to those beautiful flowers this year.

Maybe it's not too late.

I am only getting 1 or 2 hibiscus blooms a day where last year it was covered everyday. My morning glories are just starting to bloom, impatiens are tiny. My tomatoes and peppers are doing great though. They seem to love the heat.
