For Those Having Problems Purchasing Discounted PAP

If you are having issues with online purchase add a full priced AP to your cart then add the discounted ones you are buying. At checkout delete the full priced one and you should be good to go.
 
This wasn't working for me yesterday.
I ended up calling but so happy I got the PAP!
 
Just did it (nothing like waiting until the last minute!) and the workaround worked like a charm! Thanks
 
When do they have to be activated by? My current AP's expire end of December. I am going to WDW January 9. Can I activate them on Jan 10?

I just called member services to buy my annual passes and asked the same question. The cast member said I have until January 31, 2015 to activate the passes.
 
Just called DVC member services.......waited 43 min before speaking with someone. They're having computer problems and could not issue PAP at discounted price she said to call back in an hour. I explained I was on hold already for over 40 min, due to their clitch are they extending deadline and she said no if computers are still down at close at 7:30 I will not be able to purchase tickets. Very frustrated.
 
If you purchase online, are you able to link those tickets to My Disney Experience prior to arriving in Orlando?
 
My DVC and MDE accounts are linked so I was able to pick whose account to link them to as part of the purchase process. You can also do so with the will call number.

Thank you! I'm on hold with MS now. I'm not sure if the system is back up or not. If not, I will try to purchase PAPs online. I just want to make sure that I will be able to link my tickets to MDE.
 
MS said due to computer problem the offer has been extended till Sunday May4th. Can anyone confirm that they were also told this?
 
That is what I am being told by ticketing right now. I have not been able to complete on online purchase and have only gotten a busy signal at DVC.
 
MS said they are aware that online purchase was not working either.
He first said I could purchase the reg AP at the already discounted price, I said why would I do that when the PAP is the same price. I than asked to speak to a manager and I that point he said he just received notification that offer was extended. I asked for verification and he said it was 100% correct. I can't help but question because its not always all the same information.
I just wanted to confirm that others were being told this too.

Same here, they actually told me ticketing was out all over the parks. That is what I get for waiting till the last minute I suppose. I will probably keep trying online tonight in case they fix the problem. I was on hold for 25 minutes before being told I couldn't buy them. Kind of frustrating, I would have suggested they change their message to reflect that the offer was extended, but they aren't open for much longer so probably not worth it.

I'd also feel more comfortable if it was in writing on their website.

They had changed it by around 5:30 or so when I called in to reflect the change.
 
A question, though... If I choose to have them shipped to me, will they activate right away? Or do I have to choose On Call. We don't plan to activate until November.
 
Sorry if this was posted already but they extended the deadline date to purchase the WDW Premier annual passes until Sunday May 4th due to all the problems yesterday
I called today and purchased mine today.
 
Tried to buy online yesterday April 30 but realized online I could only use 1 Disney gift card. So I called Member Services to be told that system was down and I could call Disney Park Tickets or call until May 4 at closing to get the special. I decided I had been on hold a half hour so I was tried of sitting on the phone and would call back May 1, today. When I called today I had a moderate wait of 15 minutes. When I talked to MS she told me I could only use 2 forms of payment 2 gift cards or 1 gift card and a credit card or... as DVC member services can only do 2 but Disney Park Ticketing can do multiple so she transfered me. After 5 minute wait, cast member there tells me that the special rate for the DVC annual pass is over as of April 30. I explained that it wasn't over due to technical difficulties yesterday. He told me I had a long time to purchase the tickets and should have done that early as that's DVC issue not theirs. I would have to talk to DVC. So he transfered me back to DVC. This time I was on hold for 30 minutes. Another member service person didn't know what to do apparently as she went quiet for what seemed like minutes. I finally asked if she was still there. She was cold and said she didn't understand why ticketing couldn't help me. Then another long pause. I asked to speak to a manager. Nothing. Then I asked again she said ok and put me on hold for 10 minutes when finally a nice lady talked to me. She didn't help me in my situation but she didn seem to care. I asked if I had missed where on the DVC site it says that multiple gift cards could not be used even if you call member services. She said she didn't think it said that. So be careful if you expect to use gift cards for purchasing with member services.
