For those considering Deluxe AP's....

Thanks for the great info, everyone. Has anyone seen the new 10/31 vouchers in the Burbank or Los Feliz stores in the last week or so? Checked Burbank last week and they were all out, but I don't know if they ever got the 10/31 versions. Thanks!

I don't have a costco card so I'm going to be hitting my sister up to go on a road trip in the next week or two. If she won't go I guess I will have to join again. This is just to good of a deal to pass up.

One way around this is to purchase a gift card ahead of time in the amount the aps will cost. You do not need a Costco card to make purchases with a gift card. That's what I was going to do last year...send a family member who was not a costco member a gift card in the amount of the passes so he could purchase them for me, as he lived in a town where they sold them and I did not. I didn't end up needing to do that, but it's good info to know. I read about it here and double checked by calling Costco and asking.

ETA: I am talking about a Costco gift card, btw!

We did not get a choice of designs. When we activated our vouchers in Jan (received for xmas) DBF and I got the old design, when we activated the girls in Feb they got the new celebration design, when we upgraded to Premiums on our next visit we all got the new celebration design. We were not given a choice on designs but we did get new photos taken when we upgraded.



When did you get your AP? When we had Deluxe's in 07-08 they did not come with free parking. When we activated our Deluxe vouchers in Jan (not knowing if we would be back on blackout days) we added parking for $59.

The renewal form I got in the mail said you get a choice of a special design or regular ONLY if you renew through that form. Buying a new one later won't give you with the special card.

So I have more questions since we're asking all kinds of AP questions. Kerri, I know you can help me with this one. When you get the Costco voucher, do you take it to the ticket booth first? Or can you go to Guest Services by the lockers? Or either one?

And I have a different address that's on my driver's license. I won't be renewing my license until after we get our APs, is there anything else I can bring to verify my new address that I want DL to send all my AP stuff (newsletter, etc.) to?

You can go to the ticket booths or to Guest Services, either one. We did ticket booths because there were no lines when we went. As for your address, I don't think that matters, the guy who processed our vouchers asked if our addresses were correct and we said yes but I don't think it would have been an issue at all if we had said no and given him different info.

I've heard that with the Costco thing specifically, only the ticket booths have the giftcards. I could have mis-heard, it could be wrong, I don't know, but I thought I'd put it out there so that someone can tell me I'm wrong.

DL address doesn't matter (unless of course you're trying to prove you're in so cal for those special APs)...in WA you aren't required to update your DL unless you want to, as long as you've notified the DMV, so I"m about 3 addresses behind the times...but I won't be changing my driver's license until next year in October, and yet they took my info and have sent things. So that won't matter.

Oh gotcha, yes the Premiums all come with free parking so we have 4 APs with parking on them in our house.

= 393/98.25 per person
=82 more per person to get 145 more open days. (The same as buying in for 2 blackout dates each.)

$269 is the price for each annual pass voucher. They should not add sales tax on top of that price. We paid $269 each with no sales tax when we bought ours at Costco.

I just bought mine over the weekend, and no, no sales tax was applied by Costco (I had the same concern, and made sure to check!)
