Just FYI, I called DCL today to get an idea what nights the semi formal, formal and pirate nights will be for the Mexican Riviera cruises and the agent told me they don't have that info available yet and wasn't sure when. However, she DID say they're not sure if they're going to have the Pirate night because they have something special planned in honor of Disneyland's birthday. Actually she started to say it, stopped and started stumbling over her words, so I pressed her to continue. It sounded like she wasn't supposed to tell me. :flower:

Thanks for posting! I knew they would have something special for us!

Yeah, because next thing you know, someone will be posting information about that conversation on the internet. :teeth:
(But, from someone who loves rumors, thanks for posting the info)

Snicker, snicker...but I only shared it with my closest cruise friends who....happen to be on the internet........

Well I guess that's mixed news! I was looking forward to having a pirate night, just sounded like fun, but i guess if it's an extra special birthday celebration I will take that too! (will just have to cruise again I guess)

Did they offer any idea when the formal night etc might be formalized? I don't want to book Palo on the wrong night!

Looking at the schedule it seems like the formal/semiformal nights would be on Sunday and Monday. The other days are port days and that Friday is the night everything has to be out in the hallway by 11. From what I've read on the other threads it seems like that would make the most sense. I've never been on the cruise so I'm just trying to put pieces together. :confused3

I can't wait for more information to come out about the Mexcian Riviera cruises!

Do you think the semi-formal/formal night could still be on Thursday night? Guests have to be back onboard by 3:30 pm at Cabo so it's hard to tell what day we have to get all dressed up. I wouldn't want to have semi-formal & formal nights on consecutive nights.

I guess we'll just have to wait & see what Disney decides.

My opinion is that Formal night will be on Sunday night and semi-formal night will be on Thursday. I don't think DCL would put formal night and semi-formal night right next to each other. We do leave Cabo rather early 3:30 I think, so that would give those in early seating plenty of time to get ready for dinner.

Just to start another rumor- a friend of mine was at Disneyland last week on a very slow Wednesday so she started to talk to the CM's. They told her that the West Coast cruises would be a permenent thing and that they loved the new Disneyland California president (the old DCL pres.). She did not ask about a new ship but it could be that will be west coast cruising in the future as well!

She had no idea as to when they would have the schedule formalized...she said "check back a month before the first cruise" (and I was thinking, that will be too late because I was to get my Palo reservations done early). She did say though, the semi-formal and formal nights are always on "at-sea" days, so she was confident the mexico cruises would follow the same pattern but just couldn't commit because it hadn't been officially decided. So, it sounds like what everyone else has suggested would make sense..Sunday and Monday, although two *dress up* days back to back doesn't seem right either. Who knows? Hopefully they'll announce something soon. ;)

No, but on another thread someone posted that their TA called DCL today and they said the port departure times are now: PV and Maz-5pm and Cabo-3:30 and on the DCL website it still says PV-7pm and Maz-7:30pm. This just doesn't make sense as some of the DCL excursions won't get you back to the ship until 5pm...something's not right here. I guess I'll DCL and confirm for myself and while I'm on the phone I'll confirm if they know when the special nights are going to be.

I just got off the phone with DCL...the CM told me to check back next week and he *believes* they'll have that info available. He also confirmed with me that the port depature times are PV and Maz 5pm, CBL 3:30. He's going to check on why the times are so early as some of the shore excursions won't get you back to the ship until 5pm!!! Anyway, I'll let ya'll know what they say next week. :)

I also called DCL on departure times. I was told PV & Maz 5 and Cabo 3:30. I hope they're wrong the Disney website is right saying we're leaving PV and Maz at 7. Anyone know if the times will be on our Doc?

Did any of you get the letter from DCL this week suggesting that you get a passport? We did, and they even sent us the forms.

Did you book directly with Disney? I booked through Costco so I wonder if they will forward me the info. I haven't gotten anything yet.

Fran-the day we get off will also be my 40th birthday (which is 8/6 for our cruise)!!

To answer your question, no-we haven't gotten anything from DCL regarding passports (we already have ours)...and our cruise is a month after yours, so we might still be yet to get them. :flower:

Iko..........

We did book directly through DCL......we always do, since we get those onboard booking discounts and the $200.00 credit.

We've never needed a passport until now. Guess it is time to finally get one.

Please be very careful obtaining departure times from the DCL reps. We were on the Wonder last week and doing the Dolphin swim at the Blue Lagoon at 3:30. Should have been plenty of time since I checked the website and called DCL 2 days before leaving on the cruise. All aboard was 10:30 with 11:00pm sail away. On the morning of our Dolphin excursion Capt. John comes over the loud speaker to announce the days activities and low and behold all aboard time is 7:00pm. OMG!! :scared1: not much time to get back before sailing. Danielle & Joca from Guest Services were "Wonder"ful. Arrangements were made with the Capt. so that we could to do the excursion without missing the all aboard. This was a last minute change to the Wonder's schedule to accomodate the activites at Pirate night. No fireworks as of last week though. As it turns out, we weren't the last ones to board, but we had the comfort of knowing that they knew where we were and were not going to leave without us.
