for those asking about Chatila's bakery....

Just so you know though, I stopped by there on my trip to NH a couple of weeks ago. I hear raves about their cheesecake, but I didn't try it. DBF and I got 4 pastries, a creme horn, chocolate creme puff, brownie and bismark. The brownie was really good, but the creme in the other pastries tasted like we were eating butter, and instead of being sweet they were all pretty salty. We ended up throwing them away after tasting.

They had almond cookies that were good, but the peanut butter cookies didn't have much taste and the chocolate cookies had a sort of burnt taste to them.

I don't want to discourage anyone who really wants to try them, but I know they're a little pricey, so I just thought I'd give you my opinion. You might have a different experience.

But the cheesecake is wicked good!! I like the walnut, mint chocolate, lemon poppy, peanutbutter(these are my favorite!)cookies. I have found that the flavor of these cookies is inconsistent. Sometimes the peanutbutter flavor is very strong, and other times faint. They're still my favorite!!
I also made the mistake of buying pastry there once because it looks so good. I thought the same thng about the cream tasting like butter!! We also threw it out!!
