Where should we stay?

The downside of going to Disney is that the trip ends, but the upside is that when you get home, you can start planning your next trip. Guess what I am doing for next year?

We've stayed twice now at SSR thansk to DPs, and SSR is a resort I like, but next year I want to try somewhere different. I am debating between AKV or WLV.

What do you think. Post upsides/downsides to either. And I know that Kidani hasn't opened yet, but at least those of you with AKL experience can sway me.....

Here's info you'll need to know:
-- Family of 3 (Me, Hubster, and Cuddlebug who will be 3 months away from being 3)
-- We like going to MK or AK (more for all of us to do)
-- We don't mind walking
-- Cuddlebug loves the pool splash area and will get in with Mommy and Daddy.
-- We'll likely be in a studio, unles Gma and Gpa come along, then we'll use banked and use year points for a 2 bedroom.
-- EDIT: Will have to get on and off bus with stroller and othe rmisc toddler "stuff"

I am torn, each has it's pluses and minuses. Any other info you need let me know. I can't decide....I want to....soon. if we go at Spring Break time, I can book AKV next month as it is my "home."

Maybe I should flip a coin. Maybe that's easier?

Oh please let me know any "secrets" about each resort too or any resort specific activities that are held/done (like campfire at AKL).....thanks.

I would vote for AKV - Kidani's pool will have a water play area that looks pretty elaborate. Whether you stay in Kidani or Jambo House, you'll have access to either pool. The savanna view rooms are great. If your little one likes animals, I'd recommend reserving the view - but there are plenty of places around the resort to view the animals if you opt not to have a savanna view. Plus, there were a lot of children's activities when we stayed there last. Little parades through the main lobby, story telling in the afternoon, arts and crafts near the pool. I think the lifeguards oversee games at the pool (but I think all resorts do this). The buses at AKV are just for that resort. When Kidani opens, that will be an extra stop but they seemed to come frequently and we always had a seat. They'll probably be more crowded once Kidani opens but compared to other resort set-ups, I still think the bus situation will be good.

We are heading back in August and can't wait! Good luck with your planning! :goodvibes

I also vote for AKV just because the pool is zero-entry like the SSR pool. The kiddie pool at VWL is over at the main pool and not a lot of fun, IMO. She will be too young for the pool games (sorry!) but she will enjoy swimming. Get her a free lifevest so she can also go in the deeper water.

That is a hard choice!!! They are both AWESOME - personaly I love VWL - also you should consider that you can just take the boat right over to MK!!
