This is a 100% charity auction so I'm not surprised. And, it's not a play set -- it's the actual model that is already put together for you. That thing is big! I'm not surprised at the cost at all b/c it's similar to those things that are at DTD's Lego store. It's not like you're getting the trillion little pieces and have to do the work yourself ... this thing is coming to you pre-assembled. The only assembly you have to do is setting up the stand it goes on.

Seeing how the starting bid was $2,500.00 is it any surprise it went this high!? Who the heck would even attempt to build one with their kid!?!? Anyone have 450 hours to design and build that thing?!!? That's how long it took the Lego Master Builder to do it. Now, he's a master builder ... imagine your average Joe attempting this!??!
