Since you asked...

--------
You can't use 2 Days of a Magic Your Way Ticket to visit 2 theme parks on the same day if you don't upgrade to the hopper option.
--------
Yes, there is "direct transportation" between all of the theme parks (mostly buses) so guests may "park hop" without going through a resort first. (MK's terminal point is the TTC.)
--------
No, there are no "direct buses" between DTD and the theme parks.
You must travel to a resort first.
--------
Disney will post the hours of a "new month" approximately 180 days in advance, and that posting will be on, or about the first of the month that is six months earlier than the new month in question.
The regular hours and the EMH hours may or may not be posted at the same time, but should appear within 3-7 days of each other.
--------
EMH = Extra Magic Hours
AM EMH always (always) begins ONE HOUR earlier than the posted "regular opening time" of a park.
--------
PM EMH always (always) lasts for THREE HOURS later than the posted "regular closing time" of a park.
The "up to 3 hours" that Disney states is lawyer-speak for "unless the hurricane is coming."
--------
Although Disney posts information everywhere that says Epcot's Future World "Closes at 7:00 PM," and World Showcase Attractions do not close until IllumiNations begins...
In true fact,
FW does not fully "close" at 7:00pm on any night of the year.
Instead, most of the attractions in Future World STAY OPEN just as long as the World Showcase attractions remain open... until IllumiNations begins.
These FW attractions include:
Soarin'
Test Track
Mission Space
Spaceship Earth
The Seas with Nemo and Friends
And, on PM EMH nights, they (and maybe, a couple more) stay open until the end of PM EMH along with certain WS attractions.
--------
The Fantasmic! Dinner Package reserved seating voucher is only good for the first show of the evening.
--------
You may use a FastPass on the day that it is issued at any time AFTER the return time listed on the pass. It does not need to be used within the one-hour window posted on the pass. There may be a very occasional exception to this in the case of an extreme back-up in the queue.
--------
You are much more likely to get drenched-to-the-bone riding Kali River Rapids (DAK) than riding Splash Mountain (MK.)
--------
Disney owns a patent on the design of the Splash Mountain ride vehicles ("logs.")
That patent is on a design shape that actually MINIMIZES water splashes (!) coming from the vehicles' water trough pathway.
MOST of the water that splashes on guests during the ride comes mainly from a series of electrically-operated "water canons," sprayers, and pumps that can be adjusted (or turned on or off) by ride operators.
--------
Mickey's Toontown Fair, although listed everywhere most days as opening at 10AM, in fact will open at about 9:45 AM.
--------
Individual park tickets cannot be "shared."
Once a ticket has been used by a guest, it may not be given to and used by another guest. This "non-transferable ticket" is not only a Disney rule, it is a Florida state law.
--------
If you want to upgrade a ticket that was obtained at less than the current gate price, you should USE that ticket, at least once, to go into a theme park BEFORE you do the upgrade. That way the CM at the ticket booth can "bridge" (adjust) the value to the current gate price, so you can save money on the upgrade.
Yes, you can even upgrade a Magic Your Way ticket that has been "all used up."
All MYW ticket upgrades must take place within 14 days of a ticket's first use.
(Certain exceptions for Florida residents.)
--------
There are three monorail "loops' (routes.)
-MK Express Monorail (TTC-MK)
-Resort Monorail (TTC-Polynesian-Grand Floridian-MK-Contemporary)
-Epcot Monorail (TTC-Epcot)
As can be seen, all three of them have one common "transfer point"- the TTC.
Any guest may ride any and all monorails.
No park ticket is required, as none of the routes terminates INSIDE a theme park.
--------
There are lockers for rental by guests near the entrance of all four theme parks.
They are accessed by key, and may be opened, closed, and reopened as much as need be, at no extra charge, all day long.
The key is obtained from a CM, so credit cards, etc. may be used.
(No "exact change in cash" is required.)
A key deposit will be refunded when the key is returned that day.
--------
"Rope Drop" is the term used for the time that guests are admitted into the attractions of a park (or into certain "areas" of a park.)
--------
"Rope Drop Ceremony" is the term for a "show" that MIGHT be performed to formally "count-down" to the actual Rope Drop time.
Guests may be chosen by CM's to help participate in the ceremony.
These ceremonies vary from park-to-park, and can even vary from day-to-day.
If there is a formal Rope Drop Ceremony on a park's AM EMH day, it will only be performed for the EMH guests and not again at "regular" opening time.
--------
Pal Mickey, the talking doll and tour guide (although no longer being built or sold on-property) continues to operate as usual at all four WDW theme parks.
No word as to how long they will continue to keep the system operational.
--------
When it comes to arrival time for a WDW show that is important to you to see...
It is better to be "way too early" than just a couple of minutes "too late."
--------

-How busy will the parks be on the forth day of your trip?
-What will the temperature be on your arrival day?
-Will your 17-month-old like Epcot?
-Will $32.75 a day be enough for souvenirs?
-Will you get sick riding the low-intensity side of the Tomorrowland Wedway Transit People Authority Mover?

-I don't know. ;)

To my fellow DIS'ers:

Thank you for 40,000 opportunities to answer some interesting questions about
the most complex (and FUN) place on the planet!

Oh yeah, almost forgot:

Below is a rough estimate of the Fireworks viewing spots
based on other posters' info on the boards and personal experience.

Thanks Robo! Even after reading posts for hours every day for months, I just learned several new things! :)

Congrats on reaching 40,000 posts. So many people have been helped by your continual willingness to share your vast and amazing knowledge of Disney! :goodvibes

Congrats on 40K posts!! I'm sure all of them have helped someone!! I always know when I see your name in a thread, I will learn something or be amused!

Thanks!! and BTW, what's the weather going to be like on 12/6 for MVMCP and will it be crowded?? LOL

:cool1::banana::dance3::cheer2::cool1:

CONGRATULATIONS on the 40,000th post!

I'm excited about the info on Future World being somewhat open after 7pm.:yay:

I'm glad to know that about Future World attractions - I've seen that some of them are open after 7pm, but just thought it was letting stragglers in before they close it up. Thanks :thumbsup2

One question: Is it worth spending more money to stay at a deluxe hotel?

Same post that I've moved just a short time ago.The next will not be moved but deleted. Danny

Thanks for your many great contributions Robo:thumbsup2

Thanks Robo!

Danny- I think this post contains lots of info for people planning their park strategy so I don't understand the need for your rather snippy reply.

I agree, a simple "Thanks Robo" would suffice...

Wonder if it's post envy...?

I didn't mean to be rude but seriously! Robo answers so many questions- over and over- without getting impatient with people. I understand moving the original post- although I didn't think it was that big a deal- but moving Robo's post seems unnecessary. It contains a lot of the answers he gives people all the time.

And... that was a stinky way to thank him!!

If you put a nickel in your piggy back for every post you would have 2k by now...
Great post Robo! Even I learned something :D

Danny, sorry, I din't mean to ruffle your feathers with my earlier thread. I will take this into account in the future. Have a magical day! pixiedust:
