I am thankful that they are healthy and nice responsible adults, but I was just missing little children. DD and her DH are both 27. DS will be 24 in June and his fiance will be 22 in a week. I don't know but I was just thinking how much I miss having someone look up to me with stars in their eyes thinking I can do know wrong. I know I am being silly and that this isn't serious. Sure do hope that one day I have some grandchildren to spoil absolutely rotten!!!!!! I enjoy reading about your children so much. Just keep the children brags, events, and funny stories coming. I enjoy them all!:)

Boots...if youd like some honorary grandkids, Jordan and Dakota are available :)

Awww... {{hugs}}. They do grow up fast! DD's are 7 1/2 and 5. I was looking at baby pictures of them the other day and it almost made me cry. I love watching them grow and change, but I sometimes long for the days when they were little and I put them down and they stayed in one place! Lol:)

Of course, I have to sit down and do dd's math with her and that isn't always fun. Can I send her to your house?;) :)

i could loan you mine!!!! he is big for being a little guy. 48 inches, 62 lbs, and 7 yrs in may! (i am only 5 feet so that is big) i know how you feel. DS is getting so big these days. there is so much he just doesnt need for me to do for him. and as much as i thought i wanted it, i really miss it sometimes.

Ah, Boots, I'm with you. Although my kids are slightly younger, (21,17,13), I sometimes long for the days when I was all they ever wanted. I was joking with my 17 year old, 6'2" son about how he didn't want to leave me when he went to kindergarten. There is something so pure about that time, and I miss it. Each season passes and is exchanged for a new one with new joys, but it is still bittersweet when we look back, isn't it? :)

I know how you feel, Ellen. It's driving me nuts not planning a WDW because my teen thinks he's too old!

It is very sad! Reading your post made me even sadder! I was hoping the bitter sweet sadness goes away with time. Yesterday, my 9 year old son played out in front of our house all day with the neighborhood kids and then came in from dinner with attitude. What happened to the days of "Play with me, Mom!" I hate that they stop needing us.
