well..it did say that since Voldermort's request to be the defense against the arts teacher was denied by Dumbledore that Hogwarts hasn't been able to keep a Defense Against the Arts teacher for more than a year..so they had to get rid of Snape or get snape out of that job somehow..and it was so obvious that Snape wasn't on the good side, so rowling made it more intresting by dumbledore dying..which makes the next book so suspenseful for its release because..everyone who read the 6th..has to know what happens now.

see i didn't finish the book and i opened a site and didn't read until i saw someones icon i got extremly sad i acctually cried at like 1:15 and i was enraged as if someone just killed your mom or best friend and just nebgrdghjdgglhgllhgrlhlull I HATE SNAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but someones icon was a picture of a drawn dumbledore on this one site

well, i think that snap and dumbledore had a pact type thing, where snape would kill him, because he was so weak and would rather him do it than malfoy, becuase he knows malfoy is good.
snape was the half blood prince.
ok, Harry and ginny are going to get together and i think thats whats going to help kill voldemort because it is true love, the one thing he doesnt have that harry does. and Ron and Harmione will get together becuase its just too obvious they are like in love
and i think that malfoy is going to eventually help harry, ron, hermione, and ginny to defeat voldemort, as is snape.

I think that Ron and Hermoine have it together, Luna just had a little crush on Ron at first, but seemed to get over it. I either think that Harry will meet someone on the trip finding the Horcruxes.

well for your first question, idk why hes so sexy, but i would like to figure that out as well.
and your second question, as i said before i think dombledore wanted snape to kill him. because if you were reading carefully, they got into a fight and dombeldore wanteed snape to do something for him, but snape kept refusing and it said tht dombledore was pleading with snape but it didnt clarify what he was pleading about. so he could have been pleading to kill him, so that maloy didnt have to. so i dont think you want to kill snape because i think he is going to help to defeat voldemort.

I was severly upset when I found out Dumbledore died...but when he died I was ready cuz mom read spoilers and told me but still...I dont think that this is the end of Dumbledore though...you know how he is like in love with phoenixs and all that about how when a phoenix dies a new one is born??? i think that in some way that dumbledore will somehow be back in the next book.

as for snape killing dumbledore i have theories about that too. i think that dumbledore KNEW that draco was out to kill him. snape made that promise with draco's mother and he and dumbledore were in cahoots to "save" draco from going 100% totally bad and going to the dark side. also as dumbledore was talking to draco and trying to convince him that he didnt want to become a murderer, dumbledore kept scooting along the wall like he was trying to get in a certain position. so then snape comes along and does his part and he and draco run for the hills...

I dont think that Harry is a horcrux...prophecy or not...it could have been Neville instead of Harry but voldemort assumed it was harry...also to be a horcrux Harry would have to have some of voldemort's actual soul. yeah he can talk to snakes but he hasnt showed signs of acting like voldemort...also if he was part voldemort wouldnt he have ended up in slytherin not gryffindor???

still get a kick out of the fact that snape is half muggle...oh and who saw the fact that slughorn was going to be the potions teacher??? and that snape was DADA???

I think along the same lines except for the fact I think Snape had to make the pact to stay as a spy, and when HAgrid saw them arguing, this is when Dumbledor found out.

As for Harry is a horcrux, i think it is possible, because Dumbledore himself said a living Horcrux could be a messy business and not have full control. But from HBP it sounds like he has to intentionally make a horcrux - murder someone, break off a piece of his soul, put it in the horcrux (probably say a spell).

He was TRYING to kill Harry, I don't think he was trying to make Harry a horcrux. Maybe we'll find out in book 7 that there's a way to "accidentally" create a horcrux, in which case Harry (or his scar) could be one.

This is just something I read on mugglenet, but he did kill lily and james, and may have accidently or purposly made him a Horcrux, which would explain how he does have his powers, and maybe because they are so much alike, (halfblood, not raised by parents, who knows anything happens in harry world)it makes the horcrux more likely to transfer power and soul by accident, or maybe he did as a last resort, on the spur of the moment

omg i would like to start off by saying that i LOVED this book and am very disappointed that there is only going to be 1 more book left....i really hope (but doubt) that there will be more!!

ok so here is my two scents about some things

first i do and don't think that Harry is a Horcrux.....

I do think that he could be one because in the book it says that it can be anything but an animal or something like that....so like the locket his scar could be like the last one or something

On the other hand Voldemort did try to kill harry in like the second or third book i think.....so why would he try to kill his own spirit....just my opinion

I am also along with many here disappointed and sad that Dumbledore died but i kinda figured he would but i didn't think it would be by Snape...that shocked me

As for Malfoy (I personally think he is cute in the movies and like him lol) but think that he will return to the good side and eventually help HArry out and possibly die trying i don't know.....

Ron and HErmonie IMO will definitly get together i kinda knew this would happen from the wayyy beginning and i knew Harry and Ginny would get together

I can't wait until Bill's wedding that should be very very funny with Fred and George and there jokes

My family thinks that Snape was simply carrying out an order that DUmbledore gave him to kill him just as he made harry promise to do whatever even if it meant dumbledore had to die. I also think that Malfoy will somehow enter the good side. But that Harry is going to try and Kill snape b/c he blames him for his parents death. Hermione and Ron will definatly be together I have known that from the very begining also, Harry will be with Ginny if he ends up with anyone at all. These are just some theories. BUt I think it will play out something like this.

Ok hey i finished the book yeasterday and ok did u guys ever think that dumbledore could not be dead and that snape just did a sleeping charm on him. i mean is snape really bad u knw idk but also i wasn't surprised with snape i always thought he was on both sides. and with harry i think he will livve with the weasleys u knw. also i think harry and ginny will get back together. plus harry is definently a horux or w/e it is called becuz snape could have just killed harry and he never did which i find quite strange also voldemort never came into the book so where is voldemort u knw well g2g that my thoughts and i got tons more but i'll wait to see whut u say.
