We are thinking about using the new Magical Express. However, we normally rent then stop at Publix for pop/soda, sandwich fixin's, and snacks.

For those of your who don't rent, how do you get groceries? Do you taxi, and how much would that cost? We don't need much, but want more than is offered at the WL resort store. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

We ordered them wegoshop.com and had a very good experience. You can submit a grocery list with anything you want and have them shop at a good number of stores. The delivery fee is tiered, but I think ours was only about $10-$15, no more than a cab ride. What I did was go to my local Walmart SuperCenter and make out a list, then submited the list to wegoshop and requested they shop at the Walmart down there. Highly recommended!

And I've used Netgrocer.com. I've used them several times now. I don't have to be there to sign/pay for them. I pay for the stuff when I submit the order. The first time we used it, the groceries were waiting for us at the Polynesian. We'll be using them again in June.

We love www.wegoshop.com! I can't say enough good things about them. We've used them many times and never had a single problem. We like them better than Netgrocer because they will do perisable things like milk, sandwhich meant, veggies and fruits, etc. It's a great service. You arrange a delivery time and they bring it right to your hotel room door.

I also use wegoshop. They are wonderful. I have never, ever had a problem with any order. They are great and its so easy!

Some of the shuttle services between Airport and WDW mention providing a 15 to 30 minute stop to pick up groceries on the way to WDW. They also mention not stopping at Costco's, BJ's, etc as they are not on the route between the airport and WDW. Does anyone know whether the store is a typical grocery store. Meaning, can we expect to purchase a package of size 2 Pampers for the infant and a size 5 Pampers for the toddler and then all the typical foods we might eat (snack foods, cup of soup, ramen noodles, etc.). We are trying to plan and if we can omit two bags of diapers that would be a great space saver.

We've used Tiffany, Cartier and Murray Hill, for our transportation, and all three stopped at Publix. It a regular supermarket, just like home.

Thanks for the great answers! Since I don't think the Magical Express will make a grocery stop (they want you spending your money on Disney property), the wegoshop.com or Netgrocer.com sounds like a interesting and great idea.

How does it work as far as delivery to WDW? We are staying at WL. Will they send it up to our room? Do I have to sign for it? We normally get a fridge, so what about perishables? Can we have delivery on our arrival day, and what happens if the "goods" beat us to the resort?

Thanks again.

If you use wegoshop Becca will call you either before you leave home or once you arrive you can call her. She will set up a time that is convenient for you. She and her husband will bring your order directly to your hotel room at the time you select. They will get anything you ask. She is a young mother and knows all about particular diaper, food needs. Can't say enough about this service. It is worth every penny for the convenience.

Yep.

www.wegoshop.com

Awesome service run by a wonderful couple of people! You just send them a detailed list of what you want . . . .

2 20 oz jars of crunchy Skippy peanut butter
1 bunch of bananas
2 one liter bottles of Diet Dr. Pepper
1 gallon of skim milk (any brand)
1 jumo pack (80 count) Pampers diapers, size 4
etc.

You can also tell them the store you want them to shop at. We usually pick the Wal-Mart supercenter because we are familiar with their products and prices. They will give you the receipt and you will be able to see that the only thing you are being charged for is what they bought for you plus the stated shopping fee.

Then, you just arrange a time for them to bring it right to your resort door. You can then pay them with cash or credit card.

We can't say enough good things about them! We will be using them from now on! We even use them when we do a Towncar with grocery stop because the fee is so reasonable that we would rather pay it than stop and waste time running around a strange store when we could be on our way to our resort.

We also thought about using wegoshop.com for our upcoming trip in February - maybe for Sam's Club. I have a couple of questions:

1) Is it appropriate to tip the person who delivers the groceries or is that part of the fee?

2) We arrive about 10 pm on a Wednesday. Can the groceries be delivered before that (without us being there) or will we have to wait until Thursday? It would be very convenient to have breakfast foods first thing.

3) We will transfer from VWL to OKW. If there are things that will need to be kept cold (they'll be seperately stored in a cooler bag), will bell services keep them in a cooler at both places?

4) Has anyone ever had wegoshop.com stop at 2 places? Is the delivery per stop or total?

Thanks for your help. We are getting very excited about our trip. It has been a long winter (and its still January!)
