Sort of a brag moment, Knox and Mike know this, but my daughter writes a column for the Metro on the night life etc in Boston...

So, today's was a doozie....thought maybe you would enjoy it. She is her Mother's daughter, the way of telling it like it is...

I thought if anyone would appreciate it, you all would.

One more thing, I was at the Mass General while DH was having his scans and I met these two great gay men....they were talking and of course, I had to get in there, love you guys and ladies. So I said, hey, what are you doing in Boston, why aren't you at WDW? One of them said, see, we should have gone, I am going next year..

So, I gave them the Dis address and told them about this board, I do hope they come and enjoy here, cuz you guys (Bahsten talk for y'all) are terrific.

Being a Bostonian, I know your daughter's column rings true for too many places in Beantown. Suddenly a club becomes hot because a celebrity was seen there (we have LOTS of movies filming in the area these days.), and the lines start forming. The doormen only let in the "beautiful people". The prices make WDW look cheap. Because we are a large college town, there are lot of uber-rich students here, and that is exactly the crowd these places try to attract. While good for the economy, these kids drive housing prices sky high - many of their parents buy condos for them near their school, and sell it when the kid graduates.

That's wicked funny and true.
That place is insane.
Your daughter is talented and amusing.
:thumbsup2

Funny!

I remember walking along Newbury street deciding that we couldn't afford anything but walking whenever I visited my friends who went to college in Boston.
