Hello there! :flower3:

I've decided to start a little PTR to hopefully get MORE wonderful advice from my wonderful DISers. :goodvibes

A bit of catching up... if you are following my TR, this may be old news to you, but a brief review is:

Me - Lorrie: Presently a SAHM to two beautiful kids - Mia (2), Nicolas (5). I have had limited exposure to the "WORLD" but if it were all up to me, I'd be there at least twice a year. :cool1:

Carlos - DH of almost 10 years. Huge skeptic of all things Disney :sad2:, though I am really hoping this trip will win him over.

We were there early May this year, and received a bounceback offer at CSR, so we (okay I) booked my birthday weekend in November. :banana: So the plan is to spend three full days, two nights at the Beach Club. :banana:

What I can really use is help in planning a very fun, all about me trip. I'm not complaining, but I've waited patiently for over 20 years, and my birthdays kinda come and go - maybe a card, but no cake, no big party like I plan for everyone else, so I've decided this year I want one, and this year I'm giving it to myself. :lmao:

So let the trip planning begin. PLEASE feel free to suggest, comment or just tell me I'm being stupid. I welcome it all and look forward to sharing my planning journey with you.

Please feel free to check out my TR as well, link is below. We did DxDP too, which I'm sorta putting in my TR since I have no photos of the food. That was very interesting with my DH's input. :rolleyes:

Hope to hear from you soon! :banana:

I'm presently planning on leaving the kiddos at home for a well needed two night break from them, and a little enjoying WDW! :banana:

So here is where I am in the planning thus far.

Leaving early Sat, Nov 14th. It looks like the earliest flight will put us into MCO at 11 am. One hour to use ME - and we should be at BC by noon! :cool1:

We have bought the package deal. Presently it stands at two standard view nights at BC. It also has two base park tickets for two days and the BASIC dining plan. :rotfl: No more deluxe dining plan please. :rotfl2:

I'm back and forth if I need the park hopper, or if I need another day, but I can add that at any time, so I just booked the basics at first.

Let me just be up front and say I've never seen any of the nighttime parades or fireworks, so there is what I'm thinking.

Sat Nov 14th
arrive
check into BC
go to EPCOT
* ride Test Track
* ride Mission Space
* explore WS
* GG slushy is on my list!
dinner at Le Cellier
Illuminations. FINALLY! :cool1:

Sun Nov 15th
Be at DHS at rope drop
* 95% of this park will be new to us, so there are a lot of things on the to-do list.
Fantasmic or no Fantasmic?

I'm leaning to NO. I'm actually leaning toward trying to get a WISHES dinner at Cali Grill for that night. Even sour puss DH said it would be cool!

Or do we just eat on the BW area and wander around...
Decisions.

Then for Mon Nov 16th-
Looks like we can leave at either 3:30 or 6:30. Carlos will want the earlier - I will want the later. Who is this about again. :rolleyes: But still with ME, we'll have to depart 3 hours earlier than that, so 6:30 becomes a no-brainer for me.

So that day I can either get in free, get a fastpass ticket, or get the money on a gift card. Still not sure how to handle this one.

I'm almost certain I'd rather skip MK and AK this trip, since we spent the bulk of our time in these two parks a couple of weeks ago and I feel like I've rode most of the things there.

So here is your part - suggestions, comments, thoughts?

I'd love to hear whatever you guys think! :flower3:

I would love to help. Today is busy for me BUT I will be back!!!!

I'm here too because I am going to need plenty of help planning too.

I would love to be able to try something like FFC for dinner. I also would like to try the new Kat Cora that is coming, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE CG.

If you want to see wishes book at least 1.5 hours in advance of wishes now if you don't get a window table then you can go out on the deck and watch this is also beautiful. They Dim the lights and pipe in the music and it's just amazing. Now don't worry about getting up in the middle of dinner here to go on the deck EVERYONE does it and the waiters even space out the meal so you can watch. These are very hard ressies to aquire so make sure you are there 90 days out! Hmmm let's see what else....

Sushi- If you like it this is the place to get it. I must say Deluxe Dining maybe the way to go if you plan on these sort of meals because Appy's are well worth it here and so is dessert.

Now, not to sound odd - but how dressy is it? I was hoping to get away with one suitcase only and not bring the garmet bag.

I printed out the menu. I just don't know Jillian - the Dxdp was just TOO MUCH for us - seriously. We'd order an appy, but share - so I think we'd come out way better off paying for the $15 appy than paying an extra $120 to upgrade to the dxdp. It was just really SO MUCH food.

But I'll definately try to do that for our ADRs!

I'm really nervous since we'll only be there two nights that ADRs will be really hard to get. I think that ABC Super Soap thing is that weekend. :headache:

I won't be much help at all on your planning since I'm planning our family's first trip right now, but I wanted to say "Good for you!" for planning something special for your birthday! We'll be there on my birthday this year, and I can't wait! I'm definitely going with the birthday fun card-my DH is too cheap to spend money on souvenirs, so that will cover at least some fun things for my boys (and maybe me too!)

There is no more super soap weekends. Last year was the last one.
I actually was looking to see when it was last week and saw that they had held the last even there. That is great to know for trip planning! :goodvibes

Good for you for planning the first trip - it is so fun! :)

I laughed at your post - isn't that what mommies do? We first think about kids. That is my gripe too about my husband - and also what I was planning on spending the extra money on... purchase for the kiddos.

Right now I'm getting a little nervous that the November trip won't happen. We're discussing taking a beach break next week without the kids -which would mean we'd need to cut out the BC trip in Nov. :sad2:

DH said while WDW was okay, he wasn't that excited about going back so soon. I just really want to get away the two of us for a weekend - and he suggested the beach would be better.

:confused3 What are you going to do? :confused3
