For Newleyweds

I wonder if this a good idea. My son is getting married in August and the idea of renting some points for OKW might hit the spot. Has anyone one done this-it probably could be done through his grandparents who are members.

there is a rental/trade board on this site. So yes people have - but why OKW - for a honeymoon I think VWL would be better - more romantic - don't get me wrong most of my points are at OKW (love the peace and quiet) but VWL in my opinion is more romantic.

OK, when you are referring to a good idea are you talking about your son's getting married or renting OKW? On the former, I'll stay out it, on the latter, it sounds like it would be a very good idea. One thing to note is that renting through an owner does not get maid service (although it can be purchased when there) and for newlyweds that might be of some importance.

Oh, yeah, Drusba, like newlyweds want a maid banging on the door every day to come in and clean. I wiuld have LOVEDit if housekeeping would have stayed away on my honeymoon, LOL

hi: my son is getting married in august as well. good thing i did a 150 point add-on this fall at bwv because they're using 148 of them on a 1br,pv(hopefully boardwalk view)! we'll have to let the kids tell us what they think of this when they get back from their honeymoons.

Sent my brother to OKW in a studio for their honeymoon. Like they needed the free tickets or full kitchen, NOT. They had a great time and were very appreciative.

We didn't rent points as we actually have our own, but we did make honeymoon reservations twice--for two of our daughters. This was our "wedding gift" to them. One stayed at OKW on her honeymoon in 1994; the other at BWV in 2000. Both had a great time. We sent flowers and champage to the rooms too. It worked out wonderfully well.
