? for Marriott Rewards members

I know that Marriott points can be transferred between spouses at time of reward booking, but is there anyway to transfer a small amount of points to an adult child?
My son is short 5,000 pts for a family wedding this summer, I happen to have about that amount left in my account.

Yes, I remember seeing that on the website (you can actually gift them to anyone) and you can also buy a small amount of points also. If I remember correctly the limit on both is 20,000 per year.

Unfortunately, I was wrong about transferring but you can buy them a gift of points -- 5,000 would be $62.50

Unless something has changed in the past year, I was able to "gift" my points to my brother and make the reservation in his name when he was traveling to a wedding. I called their member services line to do it. It was no issue at all.
